Sleuthtective

A Sleuthtective is someone who is trying to play dectective on simple everyday matters and believe they are a super sleuth

By Seashell Harpspring Published 2 years ago 1 min read

Any moment I look out the windows at the neighbors and wonder what they are up to, being a sleuthtective. Why did they not get their mail today? How come they did not go onto their morning walk? Let's check their Facebook account to see if it is because they are on vacation. No social media? Who doesn't at least have a Facebook?

Get in your comfy chair, put on your hat and light a cigar because we need to know. Listen to their phone conversation they have on the porch. Can catch the words "Lawyer" and "Stolen." Is someone in the house a thief or were they stolen from? Maybe they just mean someone stole their heart. If so, what does their new date look like? Who has been parking by their house to come in as of late?

What are the group of ladies down the street laughing about. Did they find a great morsel of gossip. If only I knew what it was. Maybe I can go down to the tennis courts to play in order to hear something interesting. Every word I hear has to connect together to make a story or am I just an unreliable narrator convincing myself of what would be a piece of wild news?
