For Alexander McEvoy's Hear ye! Hear ye! Challenge

Thank you for opportunity!

A homeless or unhoused person who knows how their world will change. They could be a veteran, an abandoned queer person, a person struggling with mental health or addiction issues, or anyone else the world has left behind.

Inspirations With the deepest essence of sleeping alone. It reminds me of Atlas Corigan, a self-made chef of two hotels Corigan's and the Bib's. The hero of It Starts With Us. His bitter cold memories of staying alone in a lone house, in winter without any help no human to contact. Homelessness is the pain of remembering the load of the burden you still have to survive, while you have all past reminding of whoever left you alone. Just because you are born with or created by around some people it doesn't make them your family. What if lone people were meant to be alone in solitude?

After the tides hit the shore, they somehow should return deep to the destined ocean. Life has been hard for him since that date, precisely March 5. No one knew how simple something that happened that day was one of the best yet worst days he could witness. His name is Zander, 19 years old.

Zander was walking around the oceanic tides washing away the tender steps he just left in the transient sand, marks faded but that step stamped deep in the ocean. Imposed in the depths, Impressed by the waves that carried them it hadn't erased them but the ocean wanted to give a huge hug to the lone steps. Zander never knew what was about to happen a week later.

Where did he sleep? in the abundant oceanic sand, the only place of his company of solitude. Zander never had his own residence, Zander always hoped he had a land other than where he would be buried after death. Stepping through the nightmares, which are far better than his reality Zander sleeps after the tiring day.

Before the sun woke up, salt did wake him up. The high tide salted Zander's tongue. Spitting the liquid out of his mouth, zander woke up salty this new day. Now it is time to search for some food. All that gives food to this young man is the ocean itself. he would go fishing with any other professional fisherman. He would catch a few fish for food for that day, 50% of the total caught he must give as rent for using the boat and other fishing pieces of equipments. Survival was painful, but the pain was all he had that ghosted even after he was all alone.

Zander as mysterious he seems for anyone, his birth and his family are a mystery. All clear rememberings of his life are blurred. He was left alone in a basket in an abandoned boat. Fishermen raised this young man, and until sixteen they taught all skills to learn basic swimming and fishing. Later they couldn't help but let him to live alone, he was capable of living they thought. Zander meant Defender of man but he got to defend his own.

Zander never knew life, as you consider it to be. All Zander was familiar comfortable and loved was the ocean. Undeniably a bond between nature and him, the salt linked with his bloodline through sails even his birth was unknown. That day went as usual but silent, the silence before a storm.

The Lockdown was announced. On the other hand oceanic tides increased, and the navy forces where accumulated until things got in control. They blocked the path with nets. Fishing was not an option on this day. Starving is no new, but this was different. Hope was shattered, in a long time almost years Zander never spoke any words. Words withered from his dried mouth. "All I need is some hope, that The waves are coming for me" It will carry me high to where I am destined to be. Was it teardrop sweat or just that ocean drops? But it was salty and saline.

It's been a long time since all changed instantly. Fresh breeze swiped through giving shivers. All left were the words that hadn't faded from the dense heart and the pain from reality combined with saline. Something stays with you since birth, these were born with Zander his only possessions. No one around, waves soothing Zander though there was no reason to make him better. Zander fell to his feet in that sand, the sand that owns his identity. The proud man, protector of the man of that sand Zander fell down. With his every individuality aching to survive. Rain drops emerged from the dark sky, clouds came from the faraway merging to flood.

Days passed, and the young man become skinny starved crippled. He was the protector, Zander. He was breathing survival. His breath was becoming air. Blood was no longer bitter with pain it is becoming saline, heart losing its warmth and becoming colder. Zander was destined for something different, Destination searched for him. Zander stood there waiting for that opportunity. All he craved in these last few golden memories, was the death must be granted from his only love. The ocean that atleast patted him no matter what was worse or if he was even really worth it.

The sound never reached his ears now, stumbling to keep his eyes, he was going to be welcomed to a new home, his own. He murmured, "I slept all alone". It was his day today. The salty water slipped through his body. The rain was the tears of this ocean, losing the solitude of this young man. The rain started heavily pouring down, but before it fell to the ground it was all over. The ocean gave a deep hug to Zander dragging him to the center of the ocean. The Protector had to retire, he had protected the Ocean from all its anger since that moment. Now that he's gone who is going to save this earth from all the high tides? The pain of the waves would never forget one individual, one name one and only solitude, the soldier and the protector Zander.

Rest in peace Zander your tides are still stronger in our hearts deeper.

AUTHOR NOTE With the deepest essence of sleeping alone, Zander individually is the protector of mankind from the anger of ocean. He mediated with true solitude and the oceanic unconditional love. I cried when I killed this character, but life shows no mercy. Its the essence that is felt, no one are refugee no one are foreign. We all are human, Don't isolate anyone. Include homeless, help them as much as you can. Atleast make them smile, don't let them die drowning deep inside, atleast let them have one who loved them, let it be you!
