Sisters Of The Moon

Each night, the sisters leave the sea and gather on a rocky promontory on the south-west coast of Ireland, overlooking the Atlantic. These mermaids are Sisters of the Moon and each night join in congress with Selene and Luna, to talk of nature and the sea.

They are the ones who calm the storms and warn the sailors. Selene and Luna tell them how the tides will flow, which winds will blow, and whether it will be wise to sail. Each Full Moon, the mermaids take the knowledge and tell the fishermen and cargo vessels whether it is wise to sail.

Sometimes the sailors ignore the words of the mermaids and many a vessel is lost or werecked from the wrath or the storms and waves.

The Sisters Of The Moon do all they can to help. Most are grateful for their care, and are rewarded with successul and fruitful voyages across the waves.

Be thankful for The Sisters of The Moon.
