They call me Ghost.
Time is an expendable Luxury, we never have enough yet we never run out. Since the world started to download our personal histories and current events to prevent the loss of all civilization we as a whole have learned to lean more on the easy to feel feelings. Stuff like guilt and shame, allow us to function in a more singular capacity where our needs are very low maintenance.
Isolation is a neat way to live longer and faster than having to rely on anything else. There really is no way to reach out to people that died or live long around the world, so items like heart-shaped lockets are more of a common misplacement of style or all buried with the ones whose faces were found on the inside; a passion in lack of interest. Jewelry is no longer fashion, Bionic eyes and ears are only a small portion of what fashion necessarily becomes.
We need to be more focused on improving ourselves and less on what actually controls our minds. Common social events with drugs and alcohol have been faded out, as alcohol is toxic to our bionic hardware and ultimately more of a drunken plague that thinned out many people around the turn of a century that has little significance to what the historical records impose upon the past.
As social gatherings have subsided, the mass 1% which is no longer the minority have become in terms known as overlords. They are no longer physical entities, they have built themselves into the software we surround ourselves in, which allow us to see trees still containing leaves on the surface. While also there are no carbon based life-forms to exist at all besides the bionic humanoids we survive with.
The time we experience is always something given to us, never earned or allowed to follow any other path that hasn't been determined for us. This is code for a singularity event. Something we only know as existence.
I write this in hopes to be found by the people of Earth in a time where choices are still valid, something that allows you to change who you are and not only live in the moment but to speak in ways that are filled with love and raw emotion uncontained with consequence and fervor to reach the heights of a hill and be out of breath with a view and lack of endurance.
As a small community of around 5 thousand near the old Pacific coast of Los Angeles. We thrive in time alone, and time alone. Time and the singularity of thought teach us what we can improve, while removing limitations on our prowess, or fears, and always we will keep functioning. Many physical properties of the world have changed or completely disappeared.
Having no oceans means that there is more land for our people to roam, study and manifest information. Global drought has caused the clouds to disappear and turn the world into a desolate place to live. Technologic evolution was a tried practice for many years, it became the inevitable as our faith was the one thing which kept us all and still does in a way. People grew slow and robots can upgrade fast.
In order to survive after a biological birth down here, there needs to be implants given to the infant to breath our air, we may as well be on Venus at these hazardous times. Yes we have to be implanted to survive, the only way to be human, is to be a robotic bi-pedal imitation. Humans had failed, and not many of us had the pride and courage to step up and actually change what hurts in order to survive.
It seems to be that we who still roam are the chosen, but that choice is ours. That is what pushes me further every day, that in order to grow we must change in ourselves what hurts. Pain is something that needs to be removed, not healed, well not anymore at least.
This strong and tightly knit community is a force to be feared whenever you had become and left this world. So I try to stay positive when I can learn things as time manipulation, a way to get my broadcasts away from my healing mind and to a reader who understands that we will fail as a species, and grow in our own minds.
I miss those beautiful sunsets.
