Shasha and The Leopard King
Children's Adventure Fantasy

The forest smelled like frosted scones—sweet and buttery.
Pink trees oozed cotton-candy sap that dripped down their branches, pooling into sugary puddles around Shasha’s feet.
As she tiptoed deeper into the forest, a squeaky voice called out,
“Who are you?”
“I’m Shasha. And you?” she asked, peeking around a glowing tree.
“I’m Bubbles, and my favorite color is bright orange!” said the voice.
“That’s a nice color,” Shasha said. “But… why are you in the forest?”
“I’m here to help you find your mother,” Bubbles squeaked.
Shasha stepped back, her eyes wide.
“How do you know about my mom? Do you know where she is?”
A powdered-white frog hopped out from behind the tree.
Shasha gasped.
“You’re a frog?”
“You got a problem with frogs?” Bubbles asked, puffing up a little.
“No,” Shasha said quickly. “I was just surprised.”
Bubbles’ eyes sparkled.
“Your mother, Lisa, is in danger. You must save her from the Leopard King.”
Shasha’s mouth dropped open.
“Who is the Leopard King? What has he done to her?”
“He’s the ruler of the forest—tall, fierce, with claws sharper than thorns,” Bubbles said.
“He locked her away because she was trying to return the forest to the fairies.”
“What do I have to do?” Shasha asked, her fists clenched with determination.
“Follow the sound of the blue bats. They’ll lead you to her,” said Bubbles.
“I’ll help her,” Shasha said.
“And I’m coming with you!” Bubbles croaked, her eyes shining.
Together, they journeyed through the pink forest.
The sweet scent changed to something woodsy and wild.
Overhead, blue bats swooped in wide circles.
Shasha looked up.
There, tangled in cherry-red vines and thorny branches, was her mother.
“Mom, it’s me—Shasha,” she whispered.
Lisa opened her eyes.
“Shasha? What are you doing here?”
“Bubbles and I came to save you!”
Bubbles let out a loud ribbit! —
"Oops."
The Leopard King stirred.
“Well, well. Visitors,” the Leopard King growled, stepping toward a black wooden throne.
Shasha raced to her mother and tore at the vines with her bare hands.
“Yes, yes, yes!” Bubbles cheered.
“You foolish girl,” the Leopard King hissed.
“Mom, we have to leave. Now!”
“I know the way, but it won’t be easy,” Lisa said.
They darted past the throne and the circling blue bats.
The Leopard King roared—
—but Shasha stood tall and drew her pink sword.
It shimmered with diamond-bright sparkles.
“Nooooo!” howled the Leopard King as light filled the forest.
Shasha smiled.
Her mother was safe.
And the forest?
Free at last.

Very good, this is a very interesting story.
I'm so happy that Shasha and Bubble managed to save Lisa and the forest. Loved your story!
This was a fun story! I liked the characters, such as Sasha and Bubbles; they were fun and had different, cool personalities! "The Leopard King" was a fun character, too.
