Rumble
Dover, Delaware highways turn into speedways.
Lights blinked. Roars from the engines pervaded the area. In Dover, Delaware, the cars on the highway flew by like they jockeyed for position in a Dover Speed Roadway event.
The cars screamed like banshees. For Jet Goshon, he kept driving and surpassed everyone there on that stretch of road.
He kept his own sense of what it meant to be a racecar driver. Finally, he reached pole position. A smile crept on his walnut-colored face.
The roar from his engine continued to make him seem like a champion. Then, rumble strips woke him and he returned to the road.

The muddy, mucky sense of it had been known for centuries. Locals tied it to an ancient god who they believed restored people’s health with the cow plops. During the festival, thick patties hurled through the air and smushed into the bodies and faces of those rollicking around in the filth.
