Robin Archer grew up in low-income housing projects. He witnessed the harsh realities of life at the bottom rung of society, but his curiosity led him to wander into middle-class and affluent neighborhoods.
Robin witnessed some rich kids laugh at homeless people. But he also saw acts of kindness, like a well-dressed teen buying a sandwich for a man sleeping on the sidewalk.
Robin realized that wealth alone did not make someone good or bad. But arrogance, cruelty, and disrespect were unacceptable to him. He became a modern-day Robin Hood, with a street-savvy disguise and impeccable fighting skills, targeting the privileged who used their wealth to humiliate others.
One of his targets was Paul, a young man from a wealthy family who treated those less fortunate with disdain. Robin watched Paul for weeks, noting his behavior towards anyone he deemed beneath him. Paul withdrew a hefty allowance from the bank every Thursday, flaunting his cash like a trophy.
One day, Robin followed Paul into an alley after his usual bank withdrawal trip. He cornered Paul and delivered a sharp kick to his ribs. Paul fell to the ground and demanded an explanation. Robin leaned in and said, “This is what it feels like to hurt someone with your words and actions. Now, hand over the money.”
Paul handed over his money after a second kick. Robin warned him, “I will continue to be your worst nightmare until you start respecting others.” As Robin walked away, he felt emotionally vulnerable and sad, but he knew the lesson was necessary. His mission was to create a society where no one was ever humiliated because they were poor!

This is an interesting bit of fiction. Perhaps one of many chapters to come?
