There was a scholar surnamed Wei who moved his family to Ruzhou and met a monk in the middle of the journey. The two of them rode together and had a very good conversation.

When it was almost dark, the monk pointed to the fork in the road and said, "A few miles ahead of this is the monk's monastery, would you like to chapter to see the cold temple?" The young man surnamed Wei readily agreed, so he let his family go first, he then came.

Wei Sheng along with the monk along another road, about ten miles away, has not yet arrived, Wei Sheng asked the monk: "How not yet arrived?" The monk pointed to a jungle and said, "There it is." When they got closer, they said no, and the monk said they had to go further. It was already night, surrounded by darkness, Wei Sheng's heart became suspicious, he was fooled!

He has a handful of projectile skills, so he decided to strike first. Taking advantage of the cover of the night, Wei Sheng quietly took out the slingshot from his shoes and loaded the pellets, and also carried more than ten copper nine in his arms, all ready to stop. Wei Sheng began to rebuke the monk: "I have a date to hurry, because I met the master by chance on the way, reluctantly agreed to your invitation as a guest, and now have gone twenty miles, I do not know what you have planned."

The monk did not explain, only said you can go ahead. The monk walked forward, and Wei Sheng was a hundred meters behind him. So he raised his bow and shot the monk right in the back of the head, the monk at first cast there was a sense, a total of five rounds of pellets, the monk felt a situation, he touched the back of the head with his hand, while nothing like saying: "Sir, do not joke." Wei Sheng knew that the monk is not an idle person, can not be helped, and no longer ejected, and let him go, and listen to the fate of God.

After a long time, when he arrived at a manor, dozens of people came out with torches to greet him, and the monk invited Wei Sheng to sit at the guest table and said with a smile, "Don't worry, Mr. Lang." And he asked his attendants, "Has Mrs. Wei's residence been arranged as I said?" They replied, "All have been done." The monk turned back to Wei Sheng and said, "Sir, go and comfort them first, and then come here immediately." Only then did Wei Sheng realize that his wife and others had also been taken here. He hurriedly went there and saw that his wife and daughters were living in a place where they were well fed and housed, and they looked at each other and cried.

Wei Sheng soon returned to the monk's place. The monk said to Wei Sheng, "I am a robber, I have no good intention, I didn't know that you have such high skill, if it was someone else, you couldn't resist your flying bullets. Please don't be afraid to be suspicious. The pellets that I was just hit by are all here." After saying that, he raised his hand to search the back of his head and dropped five copper pellets.

After a while, the monk set up a feast, in the middle of which there was a steamed calf with a dozen knives inserted into the calf and a circle of meat cakes. The monk sat down with Wei Chen, and then said, "The poor monk has some righteous brothers, and would like to invite them to pay a visit to you." After saying this, five or six men wearing big red robes and wide belts stood in a row at the bottom of the steps. The monk said loudly, "Greetings to Mr. Wei, if you had met Mr. Wei on the road before, you would have been smashed to pieces." Then they entered the table together.

When he was full of wine and food, the monk said, "I have been doing this business for a long time, but now I am old and want to wash my hands of it. So the monk called Fei Feier to come out to see Wei Sheng.

The monk saw that Fei Feier was only sixteen or seventeen years old, wearing a green long-sleeved dress with smooth white flesh, a beautiful young man, but with a wild look in his eyes. The monk said to his son, "Go to the back hall and practice with Mr. Wei." The monk gave Wei Sheng a long sword and the five pellets, and said, "Please use all your skills to kill him, and do not let him involve me." Then he led Wei Sheng to a spacious room and locked the door behind him.

The four corners of the room were lit with bright candles, and Fei Fei stood in the middle, holding a short whip. Wei Sheng drew his bow and fired a bullet, thinking that he would surely hit the day mark, but Fei Fei knocked the projectile down, leaped on the beam, and moved around without touching the wall, as sensitive as an ape. The pellets were all shot, but they didn't hit a single one. Wei Sheng is armed with a sword to kill, Fei Fei quickly and nimbly dodges Wei Sheng's attacks, he is often less than a foot away from Wei Sheng. Wei Sheng cut the whip in Fei Fei's hand into several sections, but could not hurt Fei Fei.

The two circled and fought for a long time, and Wei Sheng had difficulty winning. The monk opened the door and asked Wei Sheng, "Have you removed the harm to the old monk?" Wei Sheng will tell the fight, the old monk showed a despondent look, looked at his son, and said: "Wei Sheng and you have not won the fight, it seems that you must still do a career as a thief, who knows what the future results?"

That night, the monk spent the night discussing with Wei Sheng the skills of swordplay and bow shooting. At dawn, the monk sent Wei Sheng and his family on their way, giving Wei Sheng more than a hundred pieces of silk and satin.
