Jen has strange side effects after surgery.

By Robert KegelPublished 10 months ago 2 min read

Peter Brite brought Jen his wife home from the hospital. Jen had a tumor in her brain, and she had surgery to have it removed. Her husband Peter walked her to the sofa.

“Just sit, relax and if you need anything yell. I have to do some work, but we can watch a movie later.” Peter said kissing her on the cheek.

“Sounds good, I’ll just watch some Tacoma FD.”

“I’ll be done before dinner.” Peter said walking into his office.

She found Tacoma FD on Netflix and pressed play.

Before the show there was a commercial with a dog, its owner mixed up some food and put the bowl on the floor. The dog’s tail was wagging and hit Jen in the face. Jen paused the commercial.

“PETER! something weird is going on.” She yelled.

Peter ran into the room.

“What’s wrong babe?” He looks concerned.

“You don’t see the dogs tail coming out of the TV?”

“No, I don’t.” I’m going to call Doctor Samual’s.”

Peter took his cell phone out of his pocket and made a call.

“This is Doctor Samual’s office may I help you?”

“Yes, this is Peter Bright, my wife says she’s seeing a dogs tail coming out of the television.” Peter talked quickly with fear in his voice.

“You should come in, I’ll tell the doctor, he’ll want to see Jen right away.”

They get to the doctor’s office.

“Go right in, he canceled his appointments for the rest of the day.”

She buzzed them through, and they walked down a hall where the doctor was standing.

“You were seeing a dogs tail coming out of the TV. I want to do another PET scan.” The doctor said getting up.

The couple followed the doctor into the PET scan room.

“I’m going to inject you with this solution.” He stuck the needle in her arm and pushed the plunger. “Ok, get on the bed.”

Jen got on the bed and the doctor calibrated the machine, then asked Peter to follow him into the viewing room. He started the scan.

“I don’t see anything abnormal. Could have you fallen asleep and it was a dream, or you hit your head?”

“No Doc, she was awake, and I was in the room, and she still saw the dogs tail coming out of the TV.” Peter answered.

“Seeing a dogs tail coming out of the screen is impossible.”

The doctor still looking at the scan, trying to see if he could see anything.

The doctor did visual tests on her and verified Jen thinks she sees and feels things coming out of the television.

“Well besides going back in and cutting more of your brain out which may take away those senses, there is nothing that can be done.”

“Do the operation.”

They do the operation and Jen her senses of touch and taste, she thought herself lucky that’s all the senses she lost, especially after she fell of her bike.
