Rahul and Devika

B. Com final year student Rahul was very much in love with his classmate Devika.

Even after reaching the final year, Rahul was still unable to express his love to Devika.

Being classmates, Rahul and Devika used to have conversations, but only as needed.

Rahul was a very quiet boy. He had few friends even in college.

What was the feeling in Rahul's mind about Devika, this was also known to only one of his friend Sonu in the whole college.

Sonu often used to tell Rahul why he does not speak his heart to Devika.

In the last days of college, Sonu told Rahul that 'Rahul now our college will be over in a few days and if you do not tell your heart to Devika now, then you will never be able to speak again'.

Hearing these things of Sonu, Rahul also started thinking about it.

One day Rahul approached Devika with great courage and said - "Devika, I want to tell you something."

Devika- Yes Rahul, speak

Rahul (speaks in a low voice a little scared) - Devika, I love you very much.

Devika - what?

Rahul (with a little confidence) – Yes Devika, I love you very much, but for a long time I could not dare to tell you that ever since I have seen you and have to know, you have become my world.

Devika: You have gone mad, Rahul. Are you conscious? what are you saying this?

Rahul (with full confidence)- Yes Devika, I am telling you my heart that I love you very much.

Devika (angrily)- But I don't love you. I used to think that you are very straight, but you are….

Hearing these words of Devika, tears come to Rahul's eyes and Rahul leaves from there.

A few days after college is over, Devika goes out to pursue further studies.

But now Rahul always seems to be sad in the memory of Devika.

For 24 hours, Rahul just keeps remembering Devika.

His smile, his walk, his mannerisms and his denial.

Rahul is only able to show his false smile in front of the world. By remembering Devika, Rahul's condition worsens day by day.

Then one day when Rahul's friend Sonu comes to know that Rahul has created this condition in the memory of Devika, he goes to Rahul and asks that

'When Devika doesn't love you and now she has gone away, why have you created this condition because of her?

Why do you still keep it in your heart? You will find someone else too.'

Rahul – Sonu, everyone loves by gaining, but to love by losing is the only real love.

I love Devika very much and will continue to do so. Whether I have it or not.

Maybe true love is like this
