After seeing her mother's face on the news, learning she was dead. Gone. Quinnie crumpled into a ball on the floor. She dropped the phone with her sister Mia still on the line. Sobbing, Quinnie grabbed the phone.

"What happened to her Mia? How did this happen? It's been months since I had even talked to mom... how? How could she just die like this? What happened?" Quinnie said weakly into the phone.

"Honestly Quinnie, I just found out today. Dad called and said they got in a fight and she left home but never came back. They just found her body yesterday morning... I am so sorry Quinnie. I know that you and mom haven't had a good relationship recently. But Quinnie we'll be okay. We'll find out what happened. I can come over in a few days, I already booked a flight. It'll be okay Quinnie, It''ll be okay."

Quinnie stared blankly at the wall for a minute, she hung up the phone. She didn't know what to do. Her mother had been her best friend when she was younger, but recently they had drifted apart and they had gotten into an argument about how Quinnie needed to do more with her life. That's where they left it. The last thing she talked about was an argument. She was so frustrated and sad. She laid back onto the floor and stared at the ceiling. She didn't even know how much time passed. The phone rang again but she didn't answer it. the news had turned into a talk show and then into reality T.V. she just stayed on the floor. Finally she got up, wiped the tears off her face and walked back to the couch. Her coffee had gone cold hours ago. She drank it anyway. Then she walked into the bathroom, her face was red and her eyes were puffy. She washed her face with cold water and then looked at the time on her cell phone. It was already five p.m. she missed her job interview this morning. It completely slipped her mind after the call with her sister. She had ten missed calls on her cell phone, some from Mia, some from family friends and one from her dad. Quinnie and her dad had never been close even though he lived only an hour away. Her mom lived with him but now, now she was gone. Tears welled up in her eyes once again but this time she sniffled and wiped them away.

Quinnie decided to pick up the phone and call her dad. Maybe he could explain what happened. She had no idea where they even found her mother. The line rang and rang but he didn't answer. That's pretty normal for him but right now Quinnie just wanted to know what happened to her mom. She looked through her voicemails, her sister left one.

"Hey Quinnie, I just want you to call me back. We think we know what happened to mom. I am about to get on my flight so I will be there tomorrow. I will talk to you later, okay? Love you Quinnie."

She looked at the time, the voicemail was from this morning. Mia was probably on her flight by now. Quinnie tried to call her dad again but still no answer. She threw on her jacket and her slip on shoes and hopped into her little car. She was going to her parents house to find out what happened. The drive was about an hour so she would be there by seven. Her dad should be home. He better be home. She deserved an explaination just as much as her sister did.
