QUEENS OF TEARS

A Simple Story

By Shakespeare JrPublished 5 months ago 5 min read

In a big city in South Korea, there lived a woman named Hong Hae-in. She was very rich. Her family owned a huge company called Queens Group. It sold clothes, food, and many things. Hae-in was beautiful, smart, and strong. Everyone called her the "queen" of the company. But deep inside, she was not always happy.

Hae-in was married to a man named Baek Hyun-woo. Hyun-woo was not rich like Hae-in. He came from a small village called Yongdu-ri. His family was simple, with a mom, dad, and brother who loved him. Hyun-woo was a kind man and a good lawyer. He worked hard at Queens Group to help Hae-in’s family.

When Hae-in and Hyun-woo first met, they fell in love. Hae-in liked Hyun-woo’s warm smile and honest heart. Hyun-woo loved Hae-in’s strength and beauty. They got married, and everyone thought they were perfect together. But after three years, their marriage was not happy anymore.

Hae-in was always busy with work. She had to make big decisions for Queens Group. She felt a lot of pressure. Hyun-woo tried to help, but he felt like Hae-in didn’t need him. They argued a lot. They didn’t talk like they used to. Both felt lonely, even though they lived in the same house.

One day, Hyun-woo decided he wanted a divorce. He was tired of feeling sad. He wrote a letter to Hae-in, saying he wanted to end their marriage. But he didn’t give her the letter yet. He kept it in his pocket, waiting for the right time.

Then, something big happened. Hae-in went to the doctor because she felt sick. The doctor gave her bad news. Hae-in had brain cancer. The doctor said she might only have a few months to live. Hae-in was shocked. She didn’t tell anyone, not even Hyun-woo. She kept the secret inside, feeling scared and alone.

Hae-in started to act differently. She was kinder to Hyun-woo. She smiled more, even though she was hurting. Hyun-woo noticed the change, but he didn’t know why. He thought maybe Hae-in was trying to fix their marriage. He felt confused. He still loved her, but he wasn’t sure if they could be happy again.

One day, Hae-in found the divorce letter in Hyun-woo’s pocket. She was heartbroken. She thought Hyun-woo didn’t love her anymore. She cried alone, not knowing what to do. But she decided not to tell Hyun-woo about her cancer. She wanted to be strong.

Hyun-woo started to feel bad about the divorce letter. He saw Hae-in trying to be nice, and his heart softened. He remembered why he loved her. He decided not to give her the letter. Instead, he wanted to make things better between them.

Hae-in’s family was not easy to deal with. Her mom, dad, and brother were always fighting about money and power. They didn’t care much about Hae-in’s feelings. Her mom was strict and wanted Hae-in to always be perfect. Her dad was quiet but didn’t stand up for her. Her brother was lazy and caused trouble. Hae-in felt like she had to take care of everyone.

At work, things were hard too. A bad man named Yoon Eun-sung wanted to take over Queens Group. Eun-sung was Hae-in’s old friend from school. He liked her a long time ago, but Hae-in never liked him back. Now, Eun-sung was rich and powerful. He worked with Hae-in’s family to trick them. He wanted to steal the company and maybe win Hae-in’s heart.

Eun-sung’s mom, Moh Seul-hee, was also a bad person. She worked as a helper in Hae-in’s house for many years, but she had a secret plan. She wanted to destroy Hae-in’s family because she was angry about something from the past. Eun-sung and his mom made life harder for Hae-in and Hyun-woo.

One day, Hae-in’s cancer got worse. She felt weak and dizzy. She finally told Hyun-woo the truth. Hyun-woo was shocked. He felt sad and guilty. He wished he had been kinder to Hae-in. He promised to stay by her side and help her fight the cancer.

Hyun-woo took Hae-in to many doctors. They looked for a way to save her. Hyun-woo worked hard to protect Queens Group from Eun-sung. He also tried to make Hae-in happy. He took her to places they used to go when they were in love. They ate simple food, walked in the park, and laughed together. Hae-in felt warm inside. She started to love Hyun-woo again.

Hae-in and Hyun-woo went to Germany to find a special doctor. The doctor said there was a new treatment that might help Hae-in. It was risky, but Hae-in wanted to try. Hyun-woo stayed with her every day. He held her hand and told her stories to make her smile. Hae-in felt stronger because of Hyun-woo’s love.

Back in Korea, Eun-sung and his mom caused more trouble. They lied to Hae-in’s family and took control of Queens Group. Hae-in’s mom and dad were angry, but they couldn’t stop Eun-sung. Hae-in’s brother tried to help, but he made things worse.

Hyun-woo’s family in Yongdu-ri was different. They were kind and simple. When Hae-in visited them, they welcomed her like a daughter. Hyun-woo’s mom cooked her favorite food. His dad told funny stories. His brother played games with her. Hae-in felt happy there. She wished her family was like that.

In Germany, Hae-in’s treatment was hard. She lost her hair and felt sick. But she didn’t give up. Hyun-woo stayed by her side, even when it was tough. One day, the doctor gave good news. The treatment was working! Hae-in’s cancer was getting smaller. She and Hyun-woo cried happy tears.

When Hae-in and Hyun-woo returned to Korea, they had a big fight ahead. Eun-sung had taken over Queens Group. He also tried to make Hae-in like him, but she only loved Hyun-woo. Eun-sung got angry and did dangerous things. He even tried to hurt Hyun-woo.

Hyun-woo was smart. He worked with Hae-in’s friends and family to stop Eun-sung. They found proof that Eun-sung and his mom were lying. They showed everyone the truth. Eun-sung and his mom were sent to jail. Queens Group was saved, and Hae-in’s family thanked Hyun-woo.

Hae-in’s cancer was gone, but she still needed to be careful. She and Hyun-woo decided to start fresh. They moved to a smaller house and lived a simpler life. Hae-in didn’t work as much. She spent time with Hyun-woo and their friends. They laughed and loved each other every day.

Hae-in’s family changed too. Her mom became kinder. Her dad started to care more. Her brother worked harder. They all learned to love each other better. Hae-in felt happy to see her family together.

Years passed. Hae-in and Hyun-woo grew old together. They had a daughter who looked like Hae-in and smiled like Hyun-woo. They visited Yongdu-ri often, where Hyun-woo’s family loved their little girl. Hae-in and Hyun-woo walked in the park, holding hands. They remembered all the hard times and how love helped them win.

One day, when they were very old, Hae-in got sick again. She knew it was time to say goodbye. She told Hyun-woo she loved him. She thanked him for making her life happy. Hyun-woo cried but smiled. He said he would always love her. Hae-in closed her eyes, feeling peaceful.

Hyun-woo lived a little longer. He missed Hae-in every day. He visited her favorite places and told their daughter stories about her mom. When Hyun-woo was very old, he felt ready to rest. He closed his eyes, knowing he would see Hae-in again.

Their love story lived on. Their daughter grew up strong and kind. She told her own children about Hae-in and Hyun-woo. The people in Yongdu-ri and Queens Group never forgot them. Their love was like a bright star, shining forever.
