Private Dancer

By Kia T Cooper-ErbstPublished 9 months ago 3 min read

Tina Turner's voice echoed off the walls of the expansive loft as she sang "All the men come in these places and the men are all the same you don't look at their faces....." the girl stopped momentarily and wiped a single tear from her cheek as the words of the song seemed to strike her. The beat of Private Dancer seemed to continue echoing down throughout the building as the girl begin to practice harder and harder. Hours later with sweat pouring off her body, she stopped and collapsed to the floor humming the song.

Breathing hard she slowly pulled herself up and walked over to the table picking up a bottle of ice water and drinking deeply. Then using the remote to mute the music until it was barely heard as she then pulled the holder from her pony tail letting her natural curls free. Her honey brown skin glowing from the hours of dancing as she drank more water.

Her thoughts on the day ahead as she begin gathering her things before slowly easing out the door . The lyrics of the song still vibrating within her soul as she stepped into the shower letting the steamy water beating down on her slightly sore body. Her long naturally curly hair and warm honey brown skin glimmered with droplets of water as she soaped and scrubbed her body before rinsing and stepping out. Wrapping a towel around her body before picking up her phone and uttering a soft whimper seeing the name displayed on the screen.

Quickly, hitting redial she slid on to the couch and waited till she heard a deep voice say "finally " causing her to smile. "I assume you were busy practicing which is why you didn't return my phone call promptly." Hearing these words made her body twitch even as she answered "yes Sir, I am sorry but you know how absorbed I can get sometimes." He smirked hearing the slight change in her voice knowing that she must have just finished showering.

"Kitten" he begin and then paused. Breathlessly waiting for him to continue, she mentally counted a quick 8 point and then let out a sigh. "Kitten, we have to talk but not on the phone." Biting her lip she wondered if she had done something wrong because Sir sounded off.

"Did I...." she started to say but He cut off her off reassuring her that "no baby, you have done nothing wrong." Daddy continued talking " there are somethings that are happening but I need to discuss them with you in person, little one.

She smiled and responded "yes Sir." He heard the smile in her voice before asking "are you ready for the upcoming show". Pausing briefly before saying "yes Sir but I am having a bit of trouble with one spot my turns seem to slow". He laughed then said "well little one I know that you will work them out. Baby girl, I have to go work calls." His deep voice sending shivers down her spine and his british accent always causing her to be wet.

She quickly replied "yes sir" before hanging up and staring at the home screen picture of them. Seeing the deep blue of his eyes and his somewhat stern smile that always made her want to be good as well as bad.

Her thoughts turned back to the routine briefly as she stood and walked it out while the music played one last time so she could mark the problem areas while she thought about the words of the song and how they pertained to her life.

I'm your private dancer I'll do what you want me to do.... she shivered thinking how she was just His and always obedient to Him
