Actually, I was browsing my drafts and came upon an entry that didn't make the deadline. Never too late for one more, 'Oh Jeff'. Inspiration provided by, Raymond G. Taylor
"Oh, Jeff…I love you too… but… life is full of sneaky surprises. I don't know how to say this, so I'm just going to let it fall out my mouth...I’m pregnant!"
“WHAT! This is the best surprise ever, Starla! I'm speechless! I don’t know what to do... or say. I've never been a father before... Look... I know we've only been together now for a year, and I never imagined it would go down like this, but... would you marry me, Starla? I'm down on one knee if that helps."
"YES! YES, Jeff! I'll marry you! The day we met, I knew you were the one! My knight in faithful armor had arrived to sweep me up in a pillowy cloud of bliss. And considering the child isn't yours, your heart says it all!"
"Wait! What do you mean the child isn't mine? How could it not be?"
"I'll tell you all about it when I call you back. First, I need to call mumsy to tell her I'm getting married!"
But Jeff never answered that call or any others from women named Starla.
