In the spirit of cooperation, we invited the aliens to dinner.

"What is a joke?" asked the largest one, their leader I presumed.

"It's when you tell a story that makes people laugh."

"Oh, I understand. Like when our chef asks us to guess how many ways can a human be quartered, and we answer, 'none, because we like to eat ours whole.'"
