10:01 P.M.

A text from her cell phone disrupted Bubbles from falling asleep. It

was a text from her friend Kimberly wanting to know if they were still

rehearsing for the ballet play that would be coming up in a few

months. She was about to text her back when the Powerpuff hotline

started beeping. Looking out her window she could see Mojo Jojo

was once again destroying the city with another giant robot. Going

over to Buttercup's bed she shook her awake.

"Mojo's at it again, we need to go kick his butt and send him to jail for

the fifty millionth time." Bubbles mumbled as Buttercup got up and

they flew to the scene of the crime. Blossom was no where to be

seen and hadn't been seen much as of late as she claimed to be too

busy with school work. Bubbles could see Dexter's shock stricken

face as he turned away from his window and ran away. She knew

the danger level of the villains in Townsville would prove too much

for him. As she got to the scene of the crime Blossom showed up

slightly late as usual.

"Where have you been sis? The monkey is out of the zoo and he's

making a mess again." Buttercup said and she smirked rolling her

eyes. "Who knows, he might start throwing his feces at us next."

Blossom sighed and rubbed the middle of her forehead as if she's

thinking of an excuse.

"| was just busy okay?" Blossom blurted out before Buttercup took it

in her own hands to kick her soccer ball in Mojo's direction knocking

his giant robot on it's back. The

"There, problem solved. Now lets take this primate back to his cage."

Buttercup said as she caught her ball.

"Heh wow Buttercup, you've really gotten good with your kicks."

Bubbles said as both her and Blossom's eyes grew to the size of

dinner plates.

"That's because I've been practicing daily for a year now. Of

coarse... I've lost a lot of balls to outer space..." Buttercup said

laughing awkwardly.

"Only a powerpuff would do that." Bubbles said patting her sister on

the back.

"But only one Powerpuff can speak to squirrels." Buttercup

responded patting Bubbles back harder.

"Got me there." Bubbles added slightly in pain.

"Hey | got to go take care of something. Can you both take care of

Mojo while | take care of business? Thanks, bye." Blossom said and

she flew off suddenly.

"Jeez, what's been her deal lately?" Buttercup complained as she

scratched her head, looking at the pink streak of light her sister left

behind.

"No idea." Bubbles said as they picked up Mojo's unconscious body

and dropped him in prison.

"Do you want to go for a quick slice of pizza?" Buttercup said

yawning.

"Yeah, sure. | could go for a slice." Bubbles said as she looked at her

watch. "Wait | need to meet my friends for a ballet recital."

"Ah, well I'm off. See ya later." Buttercup said as she flew off.

Going to the usual meeting spot at a theater near a cozy coffee shop

Bubbles would go to on weekends a tall, dark thin man sat in one of

the seats typing away on his laptop. The other actors were already in

their places, but something wasn't right. In Bubbles' place was a

platinum blonde in her costume. It wasn't just any costume, buta

brilliant crystal embroidered blue dress with a tutu sewn together

with hundreds of peacock feathers. She sighed realizing she was

late one too many times and left for home. As she passed by

Dexter's Window she saw a big gaping hole in Dexter's bedroom wall

and Dexter sitting closely by putting together a book shelf about the

same size as the hole. This did seem strange to her, but since he

wasn't technically breaking any laws she simply went into her

bedroom, collapsed on her bed and went to sleep.

Getting up the next day she thought she'd go take a peak at how

Dexter was doing with his project. She could tell the hole in the wall

wasn't gone. It was just covered up by the book shelf he was

building last night. The thing that puzzled her was how he made

such a huge hole in the wall without making a lot of noise. She flew

over knocking on Dexter's front door. His mother came and

answered it shortly after.

"Oh hi Bubbles deary, how are you this morning?" She said as she

was mixing pancake batter.

"I'm doing well, thank you mom. Is Dexter available?" Bubbles said

cheerfully.

"Why I'm sure he is. He's probably still up in his room if you two are

still planning on heading to the library." his mom answered as she

went back to making breakfast.

"Okay, thanks." Bubbles said floating up to Dexter's room.

She opened the door to Dexter's room with no Dexter in sight. She

looked thoughtfully at the book case not knowing if she should move

it or not so instead she took her time to look around a bit instead. He

seemed awfully tidy for a boy. Every part of his room was spotless.

Not even a dust bunny. She guiltily thought of her messy room filled

with stuffed animals, nail polish and other girly stuff. Dexter was just

coming out from behind his book shelf wiping some oil off of his

gloves with a rag when he spotted Bubbles who spotted him coming

out of his secret laboratory. She only saw it for a few seconds, but

the whole room was filled with all types of technology.

"How long have you been here?" Dexter said closing his bookshelf

quickly but quietly with eyes as wide as dinner plates.

"Umm... only a few minutes." Bubbles said amazed at how fast

Dexter worked when no one was looking.

"Hmm... how much did you see?" Dexter said raising an eyebrow.

"Well... | sort of Saw you starting on it last night... but | didn't think

anything of it and went to bed." Bubbles explained. "And kind of

some stuff you built as you were shutting the...'ahem’... door."

"That's just great..." Dexter sighed. "My secret laboratory is no

longer secret now and it's the first day | built it."

"That's not true. | didn't think you would be doing anything illegal so |

didn't mention it to anyone else." Bubbles said cheerfully.

This cheered Dexter up a bit.

"Really? Well then can you keep it a secret?" Dexter asked looking

at her with hopeful eyes.

"Sure, as long as your not taking over the world or robbing banks |

don't see what's wrong with it." Bubbles said giggling.

"Thank you!" Dexter said hopping over to her giving her a huge hug.

"Kids, breakfast is ready!" Dexter's mom called.

"Be right down mom!" Dexter called.

As they came down and sat at the table Dexter's mom came over

with a huge plate of pancakes.

"You'll never guess what's for breakfast? Pancakes!" Dexter's mom

said as they all went for the maple syrup and dug in.
