Plant Whisperer

A gift of God.

By Suraiya BanoPublished 3 years ago 3 min read
A story of fiction.

Suri had always felt different from the other children in her village. While they played games and chased each other around, she spent her days wandering through the nearby forests and fields, listening to the plants and trees. Her parents thought she was odd, but they didn't discourage her; they knew that she had a special connection with the natural world, and they admired her for it.

As Suri grew older, she began to realize that her gift was truly unique. She could hear the songs of the plants and feel their emotions, and she knew that she had a responsibility to use her powers for good. She spent hours every day wandering through the forests and meadows, talking to the trees and learning from their wisdom.

One day, as she was wandering through a dense forest, she stumbled upon a group of trees that were struggling to survive. Their leaves were wilting, and their branches were brittle and dry. Suri knew that they needed water, but there was none to be found in the area.

She decided to call upon the help of the animals and humans in the area. She approached a nearby river, where she encountered a family of beavers who were building a dam. Using her gift, she spoke to the beavers and asked them to redirect some of the water from the river to the struggling trees.

The beavers were skeptical at first, but as they listened to Suri's pleas, they began to understand the gravity of the situation. They worked tirelessly to create a system of channels that would bring water to the trees, and before long, the struggling plants began to show signs of life.

As word of Suri's gift began to spread, she became known as the "Plant Whisperer." People from all over the world came to seek her help, and she never turned anyone away. She worked tirelessly to heal sick plants and trees, and her compassion and empathy touched the hearts of everyone she met.

But with her gift came great responsibility, and Suri soon realized that there were many more problems facing the natural world than she could solve alone. She began to speak out about the dangers of deforestation and pollution, and she encouraged others to join her in her mission to protect the earth.

Despite the skepticism and criticism she faced from some people, Suri remained steadfast in her commitment to the natural world. She worked tirelessly to raise awareness and inspire action, and slowly but surely, people began to listen.

Years went by, and Suri grew old. She had seen many changes in the world, both good and bad. She had watched as forests were destroyed and oceans were polluted, but she had also witnessed acts of kindness and compassion that gave her hope.

As she sat under a tree in the forest she had known so well, Suri realized that her time was drawing near. She closed her eyes and listened to the soft whisper of the plants around her, feeling their gentle embrace.

And then, she heard a voice calling her name. She opened her eyes to see a group of animals standing before her - the same animals she had helped all those years ago. They had come to say goodbye, to thank her for all she had done for them and for the earth.

As Suri smiled and closed her eyes, she felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that her legacy would live on, that the trees and plants she had loved so deeply would continue to grow and thrive.

And as the sun began to set over the forest, Suri whispered a final goodbye to the natural world she had devoted her life to. The plants and trees sang her a song of farewell, and the animals stood watch over her as she slipped away, her spirit rising up to join the gentle rhythms of the earth.
