I must’ve passed out again , because I woke up in a small cave room being treated by Rose . " Where are we ?" I asked her. She replied , " We’re in a small cave room and we are honorary guest of the hosts . I am told once everyone is recovered from the poison that the king and queen want to give us a gift ." A gift I thought ? Right , they were grateful that we took took out the giant cyclops . They called it a monster , I guess they still don’t know what it really was . I mean we still don’t really know what it was . John said the giant was taller than any cyclops he’s ever met back home .

I continued to ask Rose questions as she gently treated me . “ How many of us are recovered ? Is everyone okay ? She replied softly as if talking to a child “ Everyone is up except Wade . You two were the last to recover . I was the first to recover because I was at the center of my spell. Wade is the oldest so him taking the longest to recover makes sense . He’s breathing fine though . He’s just resting just like you were .“ Wow , a lot of cheap shots at my dignity this adventure I thought . Pretty embarrassing that everyone was waiting on me and the old guy ! Well nothing to do but improve , to get better . The one thing that was hammered into me growing up was . That the only thing I can control is my next step . Never to obsess what someone else can do or has . Only to learn from it and grow myself .

Rose continued to talk . “Sorry about the battle , my spell only bought us another 10 seconds before the poison got to us . Which in reality gave us plenty of time to take out countless soldiers . Their numbers were just far too great . They overwhelmed us with waves and waves of insect soldier troops . One by one we fell as we were succumbing to the poison . I was the last to fall to the poison . Although I think I was affected my magical stamina being depleted more than anything . ( In this world if someone overuses their powers they might pass out . Leaving them susceptible to attacks in a fight . Or even more in a life or death situation). “Wow I replied, please don’t do that again . We won’t push you to those kinds of limits again . If I can help it .

Rose replied smiling , “ thanks we should reunite with the group , they are eating in another room . Im sure you must be hungry ? After walking down a cave tunnel for 5 minutes , we got to a bigger cave room . The rest of the guys except wade were all there. They had a big fire going and were cooking fish . Rose said , “ the insect warriors gave us fish ! We also still have some fruit and nuts in our bags that we’re eating with . Eat well, it’ll be the best thing your body can get after resting ! “ I joined the group as they nodded when seeing me . They were all busy filling their mouths . The warriors brought back enough fish to feed 20 of us . I figured that they must be eating whatever we don’t . There was no way they even thought we could eat this much .
