Perfect Night

1-5

1-5

After the college entrance examination, I became obsessed with online games, often playing all night in my small room. On the night before I was to report to college, I was as usual engrossed in front of the computer. Suddenly, the door was pushed open, and I looked up to see my mother walking in, who anxiously said to me, "Tao, it's bad, I left my keys on the table in my room, but a gust of wind just closed the door..."

Seeing the anxious expression on my mother's face, I also became anxious. My father passed away early, and I have been living with my mother since I was young. At this moment, I didn't know how I could help and was stunned on the spot.

My mother looked helpless and said, "It's already eleven o'clock now, or I could squeeze in your room tonight?"

"That's not possible," I immediately shouted. Tonight, I had already made an appointment with a few close friends to play all night, as a reward for the successful end of my high school life. The game we played was called "Perfect World," so we gave this night a nice name: Perfect Night. Although I was "playing all night," the bed was empty, but how could I let my mother sleep here while I was "clattering" on the keyboard and fighting with my friends?

So, I suggested to my mother, "Let's find a locksmith to help?"

My mother sighed, "It's so late, how can we bother others?"

I thought about it, and it was true. However, I really didn't want my mother to sleep in my room, and this old apartment only had two rooms without a living room to make do. What should I do? I suddenly remembered that the other night, a thief had quietly climbed the tree in front of my mother's window, trying to jump into our house from the tree, but fortunately, he was discovered by passers-by. I had an idea, since the thief could jump, why couldn't I try? The thief also saw that our house was on the second floor, and it was a low house, even if I really fell down, it wouldn't be a big deal. So I lied to my mother that it was too hot and I was going to buy cold drinks, "thud thud thud" I ran downstairs quickly, came under her window.

The tree in front of the window was a poplar, which was very close to my mother's window. I confidently stretched out both hands, blew on them fiercely, and then used all my strength to climb the tree. After climbing the tree, I found a position, one foot on a tree branch, and the other foot ready to cross into the window.

To be honest, I was very nervous at this time. Although the distance between the tree and the window was very close, I had to jump across in the air, and I didn't have confidence at the moment.

I tried to cheer myself up. Just then, a scream came from under the tree: "Son, come down quickly!"

Ah, how could it be my mother's voice? I looked down at the tree and saw my mother stamping her feet and looking up at me desperately, her voice changed due to anxiety. I suddenly pretended to be very manly and said to my mother in a relaxed tone, "It's okay, mom, don't worry."

But my mother's tone was very stern: "Why are you so disobedient? When I tell you to come down, you come down... I'll find a locksmith..."

Mom is willing to find a locksmith? Hearing her say this, it's as if the stone in my heart has fallen to the ground. Since that's the case, I don't need to take this risk anymore, so I'm ready to get down from the tree. But just then, a gust of wind blew, the tree branch I was standing on "cracked" and I fell to the ground with the tree branch. My mind went blank: It's over!

When I regained consciousness, I found myself lying on the ground. But there was someone under me! No need to ask, it could only be my mother.

I quickly got off and grabbed my mother's hand, shouting, "Mom! Mom—" My mother opened her eyes, grabbed my hand, and kept asking if I was hurt. She tried to stand up, but struggled twice without success.

I didn't expect to cause such a disaster! I tried my arms and legs, nothing serious, so I quickly comforted my mother, "I'm fine." To reassure her, I stood up and jumped deliberately. My mother saw and laughed, "Son, you scared me to death!"

I took out my mobile phone from my pocket and wanted to call 120 for emergency. My mother firmly refused, snatched my phone, and said, "Don't cause trouble for me, I'll be fine in a while." I didn't believe it, so I quickly helped my mother up from the ground and tried to let her move all over her body. Fortunately, she only suffered some skin impact and didn't hurt her bones.

I breathed a sigh of relief and carefully helped my mother back home.

But when I entered the house, my mother still refused to find a locksmith, saying that she was afraid I would jump out of the window and said it casually. Just then, my friends were urging me, so I let my mother lie on my bed, and I quickly "got ready to fight."

But with my mother by my side, I couldn't get into the state, and those friends were laughing at me online. Seeing that the perfect night couldn't be perfect, I was sweating profusely.

Suddenly, a new idea flashed in my mind: Isn't it said that if you have difficulties, you can find the police? It's common for 110 police to jump out of the window to help people solve problems. Since my mother is afraid that I will jump out of the window, I can find the police, for the omnipotent police, this is a "piece of cake." But I know that my mother never likes to trouble others, let alone the police, so I secretly went to the bathroom and dialed 110.

In less than ten minutes, the police came, brought a locksmith, and opened the door in three or two moves. My mother saw the situation and knew that I had made the call, and scolded me severely.

The police left, and I hurriedly urged my mother to go to bed early so that I could go back to my small world to "continue the battle." When I walked out of my mother's room, I specially reminded her, "Mom, don't put the keys on the table casually in the future!" As I said, I glanced at the table.咦?Didn't mom say the keys were on the table in the room? Why aren't they there? "Mom, where are the keys? Why aren't they on the table?"

My mother looked at me straight in the eyes and said, "Don't worry, the keys won't be lost, maybe I remembered wrong, I'll look for it later." Her eyes were full of affection, and suddenly she pulled me to her side, patted me on the head, and said nothing. I looked up and found that my mother's eyes were a little wet.

My mother suddenly said to me, "Son, mom is old, do you know?"

To be honest, I usually live in school, and even during the two holidays a year at home, I either sleep or surf the internet, as if I have never cared about my mother. Now, when I heard her say this, I looked at her seriously for the first time, and I suddenly found that my mother seemed to be really old, with more wrinkles on her face and gray hair.

My mother hugged me tightly, kissed me on the forehead, and said, "Son, go to bed early, you will leave home tomorrow." With that, she took me to my small room.

I suddenly felt something hard in my mother's chest pocket, that... should be a key! I shouted excitedly, "Mom, no need to look, the key is not in your coat pocket?"

My mother seemed to suddenly realize, her expression was a bit embarrassed: "Ah, look at my memory... really..."

I felt very strange: Although my mother is old, she is not to the point where the key is in her coat pocket, and she doesn't know. Isn't she lying?

Looking at my mother's loving eyes, I suddenly understood: What have I been doing this whole holiday? My mother's purpose is actually to have me accompany her tonight.

I was so ashamed that I hugged my mother and said coquettishly, "Mom—I'm not leaving, I will accompany you tonight!"

My mother was in tears, hugged me tightly, and said nothing... Subscribe to stay updated, the next episode will be more exciting.
