When Paul was a little boy, he was shy and clumsy. The other kids would make fun of him, saying he wouldn't ever be anyone great. Sometimes Paul believed them. He was afraid to say what he thought or how he felt. He was just there. But he knew one thing, deep down inside of him, he had really big dreams. But of course, these were just dreams.
As the years went by, something changed in Paul. He grew into a confident and determined young man. He watched other people being bullied. He knew how it felt, because not long ago, that was him. One day, he decided he was going to do something about it. He went up to a group of people where another shy and clumsy man was being shoved by a large, tough guy. By this time, Paul has tall and muscular, wearing jeans and a t-shirt. But once he told the tough guy to back up, he did just that.
Paul knew what he had to do, he was going to protect people who couldn't protect themselves. Of course, he wanted a cool outfit to do it it. He added a leather jacket and sunglasses to his jeans and t-shirt. He also got a motorcycle. A new kind of hero was born.
I know, Paul isn't your typical superhero character. He doesn't fly or knock down walls with his bare hands, but he is a hero in that he helps others who are mistreated. He is a voice for those who aren't able to use their own. And that makes for a true superhero.
