Inspired By Monmouth Park's July 25-27th TB Card Races One, Two Three

Everything predicted came true and a blazing hot Friday cancelled the weekly card game, leaving Park Avenue Betty stoop sitting, sweating, showing debtor’s heat.

Cooling down, looking into the night sky the young socialite thought, “this is jam’s paper moon, and I would enjoy the kindergarten presentation, if I wasn’t out of the money.”

Jamie, a felt table companion, advising Michaela who was the group’s poker face winner despite Princess Irene’s picture royal suits, trying to put everyone in their place.

“Wait a second,” Betty continued contemplating, defending her turf, “Princess Irene is still a maiden claiming.”

Despite high temperatures, the next day’s agenda events scheduled commenced, and the checkbook tempting tease, enjoyed a good night’s sleep. Wiping her brow, receiving a second judgmental hint from heavenly Manoah’s glory, delivered Fed Ex, and dealt with immediately, “Geez, my sculcos Folly is flowing like a winning romantic Venice canal,” Betty commentated removing the perspiration, “Pronit O meano, I am ready for our show down.”

Upon leaving, Betty reached into her purse, retrieving a starter optional claiming note, “this is from that cupid dude winner I met,” she remembered, “said he was the King of Hollywood, had this place and when I asked him about the show he talked about, went on denying everything, a real sensation truly out of the money.”

Honestly, still a maiden claiming, Betty approached the fast-track lifestyle she once lived just for a second as a neonatal pin up girl, “Surfs up,” yelled one noble figure coming off the beach showing a physique.

“You had a good discussion,” Betty paused, “and came to a resolution everybody would be happy with?”

“No,” the noble gave the short answer, “but when the maiden claiming is in full force, never a dull moment.”

Laughing Betty saw an Irishman wearing a military uniform, “you must be the winner Navy Chief,” Betty acknowledged.

“Yup, I know you are out of the money, and I am the man with the money,” the Navy Chief replied.

“And you can help?” Betty inquired, “how?”

“Change your name and you will no longer be out of the money,” the Navy Chief suggested.

“Flatters Chance in heck, when I am a winner on the fast track, they will hear my real name, Park Avenue Betty.”

“Wait a second, you are Park Avenue Betty!” The Navy Chief breathed out, “then go to Zhu Daddy.”

“Whose Zhu Daddy?”

“Jace’s Father,”

“I know Jace,” Betty mentioned, “he was in a show with me once, and Jace is no joke”

It did not take long, and Park Avenue Betty confronted Zhu Daddy, “your Jace’s Father?” She screamed.

“And you were in that production Tatum that put us all out of the money,” Zhu Daddy replied making Park Avenue Betty take a step back.

Defending her turf Park Avenue Betty started claiming, “that is only what the newspapers reported. Our show levee was dry but,”

Taking a second Zhu Daddy listened, “Park Avenue Betty, I was at a party,” he started, “and we ran some speed figures saying you are a winner.”

“Still a maiden claiming, though,” Zhu Daddy clarified, “but here.”

Appreciating the token gesture Park Avenue Betty thanked him and put the funding to good use, depositing it throughout the fashion district. Making everyone rise in class.
