One-on-One With Astolfo

An Interview With One of Charlemagne's Paladin Knights.

I've given interviews before. However, this one takes not just the cake, but the entire bakery. While sitting alone one fine evening, a massive portal opened in my room. Upon closer inspection, the one and only Astolfo walked out of it.

If anyone is all familiar with the Anime series, Fate/Grand Order and Fate/Apocrypha, one will know of the character Astolfo. Ah yes, the pink haired silly boy (yes boy) who likes to wear girly things. Apparently, I had the (unfortunate) luck of meeting this unique character.

Quirky, strange, odd...perhaps all the synonyms related to such terms could describe Astolfo. And boy does he live up to it! I was about to call the military to contend with this strange portal when he begged me to think things over.

Considering I was in need of an article for Vocal.Media, I decided to make use of this time to interview him.

Halden Mile: Well Astolfo, what can you tell us about yourself?

Astolfo: Hi! I'm Astolfo, an honorable paladin and a prince and I've been to the moon before!

Why do you dress like that?

Oh you know originally I just wanted to calm down my cousin Roland when he got rejected by a woman and then... I just kept doing it.

How do you spend your days?

I like to do fun things and eat yummy food :3

Any hobbies, interests, or likes?

Anything that is fun... dressing up cute is part of it of course!

How did you become a paladin knight?

You should read up on the legend of Charlemagne, there's many great tales of us in those! Like I captured a giant or went to the moon.

How often are you pursued by lovestruck hopefuls?

Hmm I wonder?.. but both men and women do seem to like me a lot.

What battles have you been in?

As a servant it's impossible for me to remember all of them... I'm not the strongest spirit but I always try my best!

How do you account for your popularity as an Anime character?

Since I'm not that strong it must be because I'm exceptionally cute, right?

Aside from Fate/Grand Order and Fate/Apocrypha, what Anime do you like?

Anything with a school setting... school uniforms are rather cute, no? Or something with magical girls.. I wish I could transform into a cute dress anytime!

If you could live a day in another Anime universe, where would you go?

I could also become a cute pirate and set out to find some treasures like in One Piece!

If you weren't a paladin knight, what would you be doing for a living?

Finding a job in modern times hasn't been very successful for me... but I will keep trying! It's not easy being an airhead...

Any health tips to get in shape?

Finding a job in modern times hasn't been very successful for me... but I will keep trying! It's not easy being an airhead...

Do you fear the number 13?

Hmm no I don't think so.

What do you hope this interview will accomplish?

I hope you got all the important answers you were looking for~

Any last words?

*blows into his trumpet*

As this interview ended, a massive portal opened. Considering Astolfo was needed back into his world, he left ours. I must say it was an honor meeting him. Albeit, if he was indeed a strange fellow. If anything, Astolfo seems like a friendly person.

Until then, if I wish to see him again, I should have to check out Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/Grand Order to see the latest on Astolfo.
