Character Introduction (Major Characters)

Ken’i- A young Detective Originating from the Arakumi Family. Following his fallen father’s footsteps to catch bad guys and bring justice. Known as frail and skinny at the moment, but he promises his family he will grow stronger like his father.

Akari- An infamous assassin. No one knows where she is from or who her parents are, she is well known by somewhat of a legendary detective, Shitso. As she is top on his to-capture list. Exactly the same age as Ken’i, according to her information filed from the police department

Hinata: Ken’i's Mother, worried that Ken’i might get hurt, she’s pleading him not to continue in his fathers footsteps…..but to work at a retirement home as a receptionist, how odd.

Soyokaze - Ken’i’s older brother, likes messing with him but supports his idea of becoming a detective, as he did want to become a detective after their father’s death, is currently a pharmacist in the town’s drug store.

Ukuni- a Beige-haired girl that happens to be Ken’i’s friend, she supports Ken’i but she thinks it’s not safe for him, she has no thoughts on her future at the moment, even though she recently graduated from college. You can say she’s like a big sister to Ken’i

Book 1, Chapter 1 “Hey! Wait There!”

“Ken’i!”

“Ken’i!! Wake up!”

“Wh- wh….?”

I felt a rapid shake surrounding me and my bed as I opened my eyes, I saw a familiar shadowy figure, it was my older brother, Soyokaze

‘Older’ was the key word, it seems like he's acting like a young child at this point, although he graduated from college around 2 years ago.

I assumed he was visiting, knowing he gets a lot from his job so it’s likely that he has his own house or nice looking apartment. so I jumped off the bed reluctantly and gave him a “ol’ brother hug.'' That's what he likes to call it, at least.

“So? How’s my big man doin?”

“Fine.” I grumbled under my breath as I collapsed back into the bed, but got up to tidy up the bed.

“Great! Also, I have some news for you~!”

“I slowly turned my head, waiting for him to tell me the ‘news’ “

He got into a stance and waved his hands as if he was in the end of a jazz scene

“I’m movin’ back in!”

Silence broke as I dropped the pillow I was fixing

“You’re….WHAT?”

“That's right! I'm moving back in!”

“Wh..what? What about your home? You have a house..right? Not even an apartment???”

“Pshh! Silly! I just got the job as a pharmacist!” he scoffed. “My salary is still low! As long as I work, I'll be getting big ones in no time!”

“Besides!” he waved his hand as he laughed in a bold tone.

“I did live in a nice place with a friend for a while,”

“Until I decided, ‘hey! This isn't really fair, they're paying rent and I ain’t doing crap!”

“So I left!” he smiled at me, as the sun rays creaked through the curtains, I gave a warm smile back.

“Well…where's mom?” I asked smelling something fresh from downstairs

“She left to grab some groceries by Mrs. Ukuni’s … Your friend is there, right?”

My head perked up, as I stood there, I smacked my head as I ran to my closet.

“AAAGH! I FORGOT I HAD TO MEET UP WITH UKUNI TODAY!-”

“Oh! Uh.. was that something important?...”

“Important? IMPORTANT?”

“I’m Supposed to be helping her family with the loading trucks… I overslept!”

“Thank you Soyokaze for waking me up!”

“Well.. heh no problem!” he scratched his head.

Once I got myself ready, and dashed down the stairs, almost tripping. I snatched a Pen and a Clipboard and rushed out the door as soon as I could, luckily her family’s shop wasn't far, so I could just sprint there.
