The other day I spent some time with an old friend. I read his stories over and over again. He likes to sit and think a lot of the time, but he is never sure of what he is thinking for he is a bear of little brain, so he thinks. He enjoys his friends and his favorite snack. He knows right from wrong for he tries to help but always seems to get into a fix of some kind or two. So, he thinks and sings a little tune till something pops into his small mind. Silly ole bear.

A Sad Fourth of July
In a place where there used to be picnics, fireworks and many people now there is nothing but rotting picnic tables and shelters falling down where the people used to watch the fireworks. No one knows what really happened or why it just seemed to just stop. Could it have been that there were just too many rules or was it just too expensive to continue. No one really knows. The Fourth of July a day of excitement and fun is now only a memory of days gone by no longer a day of fun, but one can still remember.

Creatures of the Night
~~August~~ Technicolor lights flash and pulse in accordance to the rumbling bass thumping from the towering speakers across the dark room. Bodies pack the central space upon a raised floor built from illuminating panels like sardines, bumping and grinding against one another like headless chickens. Light scatters through the club, reflecting off of the mirror ball that dangles from the ceiling. The lights become diffused by the faint sheen of smoke that floats through the room, spat out by the machines hidden in the DJ’s booth and the walls like a victim of Poe. The thick taste of sweat and revelry swims through the air, tinged with mixed drinks and bad decisions.
