The Boy Who Cried Owl

This story begins with our main character Benjamin who lives in Hartford Connecticut. Ben is fascinated with human evolution and how far we’ve gotten technologically, Ben is fixated on the fact that once upon a time in humanities not so distant past, we communicated in a more organic manner. We had none of the mobile devices and communication capabilities we have today. 20 years ago we hoped our friends were home when we called, or else we would have to wait until they got home to call us back. We also had to wait for our favorite Tv shows to come on and if we missed an episode, we would pray for a rerun, which is a lot different today, seeing that one can nowl unlimitedly stream their favorite TV shows and movies.

Benjamin’s favorite TV show is a show called Return Of The Night Owl and its been on air since the 1980s, his dad even named him after the main character. The show is about a group of misfits who travel through space and time in a ship called the Nostradamus, that looks like an oak tree from the outside, but from the inside looks like a huge spaceship that uses technology that is eons ahead of ours. There are 3 main characters on Return Of The Night Owl, 2 are from earth and one isn’t. The 2 characters from earth Eve and Lexi are from Springfield Massachusetts, where they meet the character who is not from earth, Ironically named Benjamin. Benjamin looks like a Barn Owl to the average person , due to his supreme cloaking technology, but to Eve and Lexi he looks like himself. To make a long story short Eve and Lexi join him on his journey to stop evil and travel through space and time. Lexi and Benjamin also are in love of the TV show.

So now that I explained Ben’s favorite show, let me tell you how it all gets creepy and strange for Ben, (the real ben not TV show Ben) So Benjamin turns on his TV to watch a new episode of Return Of The Night Owl and notices he can’t find it on Netflix anymore even though he has already watched it on that platform. He brushes it off and tries to find it on google, but he is unsuccessful to no avail. As ben is searching for his favorite TV show he has been watching his whole life, he realizes the show doesn’t exist and no one has seem to ever hear of a show called Return Of The Night Owl.

Fast forward to a week later and ben is shopping in his local grocery store, where he bumps into the actresses who played Eve and Lexi. Ben was astatic! He literally started acting like a school girl at a Justin Bieber concert. Ben yells the actresses names out loud , while they ignore Ben thinking he is a mad man. Benjamin finally catches up to the actresses who play Eve and Lexi and tell him they are not actresses and they never heard of the show he speaks of. Ben puts his head down in frustration and as he walks away one of the girls says, “ Hi my name is Lexi” , Ben looks at her with big eyes and says , “ that would be crazy if your friends name is Eve”, Lexi the looks at eve and they both say “WTF”.

Eve and Lexi get scared and start to run from him and call store security to apprehend Benjamin, but to both of the girls and Ben’s surprise security doesn’t see him, they see a barn owl. The store manager yells “ whose pet owl is this ?” At that moment Ben realized he is the owl and the store manger and customers can’t see his human form, but Eve and Lexi can. How can this be? How has Ben became the lead character of his favorite TV show that doesn’t exist anymore? How did the 2 actresses that play Eve and Lexi on Tv actually become Eve and Lexi in real life?

When the girls realize that everyone just sees a barn owl , they start to keep their composure to not draw attention. They ask Ben for answers, but he has just as many questions has they do. Eve and Lexi follow ben home, when they get to ben’s house Lexi asks “ wheres your house?” Ben points directly in front of him and says “ right there” ,then Eve replies “ you live in a tree?” And to Benjamins amazement his house was now an oak tree just like Benjamin from the tv show.

“Wtf! is going on” says Ben.

He walks slowly inside and to his surprise its huge inside, decked out with futuristic tech, just like the TV show.

Lexi follows Ben in the “tree” and Eve Follows Lexi. As they all enter Eve cries out , ” I remember ”

Eve explains the time machine is called Nostradamus and it is sentient and have a mind of its own. Eve further explains all three of them were on a mission to save earth and that their version of earth was destroyed by an evil alien race called the Gevasheons ,that plague the universe in their original alternate reality. Eve explains they came to this alternate reality , because this was the only alternate reality the humans beat the Gevasheons, but in this same alternate universe their lives were a famous tv show. When they got to this dimension the TV show started not to exist and there memories of who they are seemed to fade until Ben and Lexi met again.

The humans in the alternate dimension beat the aliens with a specific frequency of 45,687 ghz + 345 hz. Eve later explains that all they have to do is go back to the moment the Geevasheons arrived in the dimension and release the frequency. Benjamin realizes everything from the show was real and because of that he knows how to pilot his ship. The trio head back to the original earth dimension , before the Geevasheons invaded and wipe them all out and save humanity.

Ben and Lexi rekindle their love and ben decides to make earth 1 his permanent home, well atleast for the next 80 years. Ben and Lexi help Eve go back to earth 2 to find an ex that died on earth 1 and thats how the next story begins.
