My experience with Lord Krishna

This article was published in my blog "krishnadhwajam.blogspot.com" in 2021. I am the sole owner of this blog and have full copyright of this story.

Hare Krishna!

Krishna is one of the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu as per Hindu Mythology. As per belief, he was born in Dwapara Yuga as the eighth son of Vasudav and Devaki. He was brought up by Nandagopa and Yasodha in Ambady. After that, he became the king of Dwaraka. He is the main deity of Guruvayur Temple mentioned in thi story located in Thrissur district of Kerala in India.

I have lots of experiences of Lord Krishna from my childhood. One of them is shared with you hereunder.

I used to visit Guruvayur temple in Kerala, India once in a year. Few years ago, one of my cousins also accompanied me to visit Krishna temple.

After the prayer inside the temple, we came out. I purchased a few items from the nearby shops but, my cousin paid the bill. She was insisting me that she will pay the bill.

In my mind, I would like to buy two hair clips. I thought, if I have purchased it she would pay the bill. It would be better to purchase the hair clips from the shop near my home. So, I kept quiet.

When we walked from there to reach the bus stop, I felt something was stuck on my dupatta. I looked back at the tip of the hanging part of my dress. I was surprised to see two hair clips shaped like two butterflies sticking on the back of my dress. Where did it come from? We walked back and asked to every shop owner whether they miss any hair clips from their shops. They said no.

I was stunned to see that and I thought Lord Krishna has read my mind. After making enquiries with the shop owners, we met a new shop owner and he said, "If Lord gave you two hair clips with pleasure, why are you so hesitating to accept it? Take that and go home. Hare Krishna!"

This is only one of the several experiences with the miraculous Krishna. I am happy to share this with you.

An unfortunate bus trip

When I was a child, I had made many short trips to town by bus from my old home in the small village of Kochi, India. The bus would start from the stop around 10 a.m. I would enjoy the bus trips regardless of its discomforts. I saw the visualisations of my day dreams through the window near my seat. Beautiful hills, lakes, farms, rivers, and so on….

Occasionally, I would enjoy the food provided by the small sellers in the bus even if it was not tasty. I had an urge to take food in the bus even though I was less hungry. I liked the varying pitches of the sounds of the bus when it passed throughout different paths.

In one of such trips, I was sitting near a lady. She began to argue with another male traveller for silly reasons. The situation went worse and the lady asked the driver to head the bus to the police station. Since I knew the whole story of the quarrel, the police entered my name as witness in the case register. I had to attend the hearings of the case in the court for many years. After that event, the memory of the bus trips has become a nightmare to me.

Both of these experiences are occurred in my life during my young age. One was awesome and the other was bitter.
