I was on a trek, wearing my rubber boots, when noticed wild mushrooms growing by the forest path I was walking on. It would surprise you what I find in forests, fields and beaches. I am quite the forager. So, when I came across this bunch baby chanterelle mushrooms I was ecstatic! I picked quite a few, ate some and continued onward, quite happy with myself. They were gritty and could use a little butter and salt. My wife would be quite pleased with my find. A little later, kung fu fighting with red-eyed rabbits, I thought perhaps they were not chanterelle mushrooms after all.
