Every love story has a desperate, dramatic pronunciation of love and the happiest of endings, well... they had more than that.

He worked at a nearby real-estate office; he made plenty per hour, but he often contemplated whether the pay was worth dealing with his cruel boss. She worked at a popular diner downtown, and she made decent off of tips. She stood out for her attention to detail and bubbly character.

It was mid-August, the leaves were slowly preparing to fall, and two people unexpectedly would find themselves stuck, fallen... at first sight.

Most of the day had already passed, and her shift was almost over. But it is important to remember that love only needs but mere minutes to kindle a spark!

The night got dark fast as the hours passed, and the weather worsened by the minute. The cool, crisp autumn breeze had now turned to violent winds and harsh rain. He, Lucas, was on a sidewalk one block away from the diner on his usual trip home. You can probably tell what happened next... The fierce rain and wind pushed him into the diner, where he sat down and met none other than the love of his life, Angelia.

To any other man, she would have appeared as a mess, pieces of hair slowly slipping out of her cap, her apron barely still tied to her waist, and panting, trying to catch her breath. To him, she looked like an angel. Right then and there, he fell in love with her, with every beautiful piece of her, including her imperfections.

" Rough Night?"

"Huh? Oh, just busy, that's all."

" Right."

" Would you like some coffee?"

"Oh, yes, please, thank you...uh...Angelia."

"Of course, I will be right back with that."

Only a few words were exchanged between the fifteen minutes he sat waiting for the weather to brighten. Fifteen minutes he got to admire Angelia and her graceful dance along the floor as she efficiently and joyfully served each customer.

After his coffee, he got the recipt back to find her number written on the bottom and that was just the start.

Weeks went by, and their relationship sparked.

While dancing under the moonlight, she felt his warm embrace, and the only thing she could say was, " I love you."

In their perfect moment, when she never wanted to leave, she heard a faint voice calling out to her. " Hello...HELLO ma'am are you okay?" She opened her eyes to see a young boy and his mother at her side. A faint tear rested on her cheek and fell suddenly when she stood. She realized she was no longer young, with signs of time traced clearly across her skin. She looked up and saw the grave she had fallen asleep by:

"LUCAS EVERETT MONROE

BELOVED HUSBAND AND FATHER," it was his.

She exhaled and took the snowy white rose from her hand and carefully placed it beside the grave, and with that, she left.
