The camera opens on the ceiling and slowly pans across a business office. It stops on our protagonist, Mike. An average built man in his early thirties, with red hair prematurely thinning and a hand that is still missing a wedding ring. He’d been told before that he had a resemblance to Steve Carell’s character named Barry, from the movie Dinner for Schmucks. He wasn’t sure whether that was a compliment or not.
Little does he know his life is about to change. He gets called in to his boss’ office, where he is informed that he has just won an all expenses paid trip to Jamaica.
He rushes home to his studio apartment that emulates bachelorhood; what with the comics and anime figurines everywhere you look. Not only that but the clothes -dirty and not- that are strewn haphazardly throughout the apartment. As he packs, he trips and falls multiple times, but doesn’t seem to care, because he’s so excited. He packs all of his clothes and is wearing cargo shorts and a bright orange Hawaiian shirt with a straw hat. Would this be the trip where he finally meets a girl and loses his virginity? He thinks to himself as he’s riding in a taxi to the airport.
When Mike gets to the airport he is running late. So of course, he also gets fondled by security. Everything is going horribly wrong but he is so ecstatic about the trip that he doesn’t care.
While looking at his ticket he notices the flight number: 7734. He doesn’t notice what it spells out but the camera transitions to the plane and a mirror reveals the word hell.
Mike stands up to check in for his flight and the flight attendant acts in a very peculiar way and has an ominous vibe that Mike doesn’t seem to notice. As he settles into his first class seat, he can’t help but notice that all the flight attendants are beautiful, and yet all that Mike can think of is the song by Elvis called Devil in Disguise. “Maybe I could join the mile high club.” Mike thinks as he starts to fall asleep. Halfway through the flight the plane lands abruptly. To the audience, it is obvious that they’ve landed in hell, but Mike thinks he is in Jamaica. The gates read “Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch'intrate" -which translates to- “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here”.
Everyone on the flight is in tears and wondering what could possibly have brought them to this place. Mike- thinking he’s in Jamaica- tries talking to the flight attendants saying that this is not how it looked in the brochure. While he’s in the middle of explaining, they turn into demons and fly away laughing. Mike thinks it might have just been from the altitude and thinks to himself “The service is off to a bad start”.
As the group starts marching down he notices some of them stop in the first circle that is described in Dante's inferno as “limbo”. As he looks around he notices everyone in despair and starts to ask the “workers” where the limbo contest is. The demons then look at each other and get a bright idea to start torturing the captives while playing limbo and if the person hits the pole they get a pitch fork to the back ten times. Well, it’s finally time for Mike to go and he accidentally hits the pole. As he’s getting ready for the punishment he wonders if this is the deep tissue massage he heard so much about on the brochure and on the info video. The demons start the punishment and Mike immediately lets out a sigh of relief. He wonders why there’s no music, but he gets out his Ipod and starts listening to Mr. Brightside by The Killers. Mike seems content with where his vacation is going. As he looks up to the sky, Beethoven’s Symphony #5 in C minor starts to play and the end credits roll.
Each episode after is a circle of hell that gets more torturous but Mike still thinks it’s a Jamaican vacation.

Cool story, hot place. I am Jamaican. Could also be Texas or Arizona. Maybe Florida.
Haha, this is great. I love the idea of him being completely oblivious to the reality. The deep sigh in respsonse to the pitchfork is hilarious.
