A Woman's mind should be a storage complex

Memory Warehouse.....

"Man, a man's mind is a memory warehouse..."

Deepal said emotionally.

"It's cloth.. If a man's mind is a memory warehouse, a woman's mind should be a storage complex...

Tell you, man, I don't even remember where I left the laundry I washed yesterday to dry... For that, our wife... As soon as I miss a single word from you, you tell me the mistakes and missteps I have made over the past ten years, in order, with the date and time...."

Sunimal said with a smile...

Sunimal wanted to break Deepal's sad mood...

But, Deepal didn't like that joke...

"You're not a fool to say these things... Here, let's drink it, let's go..."

Deepal said with his eyes closed and his mouth full of everything that was in Viduruwa...

Sunimal took a handful of chickpeas and threw them into his mouth, one by one, and looked at Deepal...

"That's enough now... Forget about those clothes and get married and become a man... If you had married at the right age, there would have been children of the age to give you food by now... You are withering away as a stockkeeper in this memory warehouse..."

"Hey, man is also an animal... The greatest service that animals can do to this world is to reproduce. At least do that service to nature..."

Sunimal was still smiling at his friend. Deepal felt that there was a love that was free from both mockery and insult in that smile…

''Are you saying that it's okay for people to just breed..? Go away, there's no point in talking to you about this.. You just keep serving nature and keep breeding the species.''

Deepal waited until his friend, whom he had met after a while, went away. Deepal felt that he was actually feeling a little relieved….

Again, Deepal alone entered the memory store… A bunch of memories that had formed and spilled all over the store… Deepal told himself that this must be the reason for this sadness and restlessness in his heart…

But, Deepal loved to wander here and there in the memory store with that restless feeling of sadness. Deepal now only meets his mother, Nadeeka, Upeksha in his memories….

Nadeeka was Deepal's first love, her memories were very vivid in Deepal's mind. However, because of his mother's love, which was stronger than his first love, those memories were somewhat blurred…. Only Deepal himself knows how painfully he turned his back on Nadeeka because of his mother's strong opposition… Perhaps he must have seen Deepal's tears because of the darkness and loneliness.

Later, when Upeksha, who had joined him with his mother's consent, turned her back on Deepal, saying that she would not be able to take care of her disabled mother when she was alone, Deepal did not feel sad… Deepal thought that nature had punished him….

The day his mother died, Deepal thought of moving to the memory warehouse… From that day on, Deepal started living alone in his memories…

Deepal met Chamila by chance… Chamila was also isolated in her own memory warehouse. When Suranga fell from the tree and died, Chamila had a son a year ago… Suranga's mother and sister did not like her going to a woman outside the house….

Chamila still cannot imagine how her sons, nephews and daughters could become women outside their own… Maybe when her son grew up, she would understand…

Deepal met Chamila by chance… One day when she was taking her mother's food… Chamila had also come to give her Suranga's food…

Because of two hearts that were sad in the same way, they gradually became closer without knowing why….

After a while, the locks on the memory stores fell… It was not uncommon for a day to go and not come….

"Shall we get married..?"

Deepal asked Chamila one day….

Chamila stared at Deepal for a long time…

"No"

Chamila said…

"Why..?"

Deepal asked in a broken voice…

"You will miss me.."

Tears in Chamila's eyes…

"Oh, so…?"

"Deepal brother, I became very ill shortly after having my son… Later, my uterus was removed in an operation…"

"So, even if we get married, I will not be able to make you a father….

"Why can't I..? This is our son.."

Deepal stroked Chamila's son's head…

The tears that were welling up in Chamila's eyes must have flowed out of the river, mixed with happiness and sadness…

Deepal met Sunimal again by chance near the school… when he was dropping his son off..

"Are you still guarding that memory vault?"

Sunimal asked with his usual friendly smile on his face…

"No, I'm making new memories…"

Deepal said…
