The Marines recalled the significance of the Tun Tavern, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

“It’s only right that the Corps be established in a bar. I just love it,” Corporal Hattie Tye announced before drinking another beer at the local bar in Yuma, Arizona. Two other corporals, Jason Century and Donna Fisk, enjoyed their Friday evening. They were able to decompress and take in the scene.

“I swear if I wasn’t a beer chugging, gun toting, Devil Dog, I don’t know where I’d be right now,” Century agreed. The flow of alcohol continued as the three of them continued to unwind.

“Right.”
