He used to keep his feet on the ground. No matter which direction he decided to turn, there was always something special that jumped out of the blue.

He met a girl once. His infatuation knew no bounds. She was happy every time flowers popped up on the street corner, and even that wasn't enough.

One day he took her to the trendiest restaurant in town. All the bright lights and cheeky heads of the waiters stared back at them as the plates deftly and instantly danced around the tables, finally landing quietly in front of the pair. That was something. That was an act that commanded the respect of others and could not be underestimated.

‘When did it all start?’ She asked him for the first time.

He couldn’t answer. He never remembered. It started with a neck pain so frantic and keen that it stayed stiff for a while. When he recovered, this unusual condition stuck to it like glue.

He got a tattoo to commemorate this moment. The Chinese character for “strong” adorned the skin on his back as a reminder of the special power he now possessed. Power that could move mountains and pour coffee into his cups whenever he wanted. The ability to have all girls in the world, of any nationality, skin colour, hair and body type. But his heart only clung to this one. Why? There must be some magic associated with it, don't you think?
