His goal was to create a new realm of eternal night, a sanctuary for those who thrived in darkness.

Noctis had discovered an ancient artifact, the Obsidian Veil, hidden deep within the city’s underground catacombs. This veil, once used to shield the city from otherworldly threats, could now be twisted to merge the Abyss with the mortal realm. If Noctis succeeded, the entire city would be enveloped in a perpetual shadow.

Lumina’s investigations led her to the hidden catacombs beneath the city, where she encountered Noctis amidst arcane symbols and shadowy tendrils that reached out like living darkness. The Obsidian Veil hovered above a pulsating vortex of dark energy, casting an eerie glow over the scene.
