The life of Robinhood has never been simple. At a young age, he lost both of his parents. In order to make enough money for his school enrollment, Robinhood worked in a tiny hotel serving tea and doing the dishes, while other kids clutched to their moms' saris or waited for their fathers after school. He was a boy who matured too quickly and was molded by resiliency rather than comfort.

At sixteen, Robinhood enrolled at a peaceful school surrounded by whispering forests and expansive farmlands. For him, it was everything, even though it was a slumbering spot that the world had all but forgotten. There, he got to know Silu.

Silu was more than just a fellow student. In his dark world, she was a beacon of light. He was pulled in like gravity by her laugh, her smile, and the way her long braid wavered as she walked. Like the sky plummeting helplessly for the horizon at every sunset, he fell in love with her without even recognizing it. He was aware that it was foolish. She was intelligent, vibrant, and loved by many. And all he was was Robin. A boy with dreams sewn together by hope and torn sneakers. However, love has its own bravery.

In his timid little ways, he tried. Inside her textbook was a message. A soft "hi" in the corridor. A hopeful look in class. Every small endeavor was an aspiration—a chance to be noticed. Silu, however, didn't think so. He was Robin to her, a peaceful, gentle youngster. a fellow student. Not much more.

One day he conveyed his sentiments with a thumping heart and faltering words. After listening with amazement, Silu gave a gentle shake of her head. "I apologize, Robin. I feel differently. It was painful. profoundly. Robin, however, did not cry. He didn't vanish or plead. Rather, he used that pain as fuel. He dedicated himself fully to his studies, allowing his books to serve as a diversion from his inability to have. Under pages of mathematics and dissertations, his love found a more peaceful home, but it didn't dissipate. Years went by.

A new beginning came with college. Robinhood had changed. He was now stronger, wiser, and more sensible. The boy who used to glance down as he walked suddenly walked with intention. There was still love in his eyes, but there was also ambition. And they were reunited by the silent humor of fate. Standing at the entrance to their college campus, Silu glanced around before meeting his gaze. "Robinhood?" she asked, a gentle smile spreading across her face. "Are you here?" He smiled back and nodded. Indeed. It seemed that fate has some unresolved business.

They resumed their conversation. Initially, it was informal. Reuniting with old classmates. However, Silu saw that he had changed. The shy boy with used books was no longer him. He listened carefully, spoke deeply, and exuded an unwavering composure. He now had a magnetic quality, a quiet strength built through adversity. Their conversations became more in-depth. Projects in groups evolved into lunches together. The laughter came back. And gradually, Silu started to notice something she hadn't previously.

She saw the boy who had once loved her without conditions, and the man he had grown into—someone who had seen suffering yet had chosen love. Unbeknownst to her, her heart started to catch up. It took time for it to happen. But it did—definitely, organically, exquisitely. She said, "I think I love you," after a lengthy phone conversation one evening that was full of half-formed jokes and dreams. For a moment, Robin stopped, gasping for air. He then grinned, not because he had "won" anything, but rather because genuine love doesn't require. It waits. It expands. It persists.

And when it does, it becomes something unbreakable.
