Leave Me Alone

A Princess' Struggle

By Maddy HaywoodPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

“NO!”

She threw another item in his direction, a fork this time. The man ducked, narrowly missing it.

“Look, your Highness, I’m here to return you home. You can leave this dreadful place!”

The man gestured around him at the chaos; clothes and books strewn across the floor, food all over the table.

The Princess huffed; pink faced.

“I’m not going ANYWHERE with you!”

This time she tossed a book in his direction. It hit him square in the face.

She smiled. He bled.

He swiftly grabbed her arm as she reached for another book to throw, and dragged her towards the open window.

“We’re leaving, before you hurt me again.”

She struggled in his grip. “You can’t force me to go! Leave me alone, I’m-”

She fell outside.

Actually, she was pushed.

The man held her arm, so she was hanging from the archway. She gasped at the height, and his audacity.

He pulled her in, clutching his broken nose.

The Princess glowered at him.

“You can’t kidnap me. I’m a Princess, I’ll have your head.”

He looked at her, confused.

“I’m taking you home.”
