Lights focused on the machine. It had the physique of a man. As it walked towards the podium, the audience became a firecracker. It spoke.

“They didn’t think I could learn the ways of humanity. That I couldn’t do this without knowing true love or anything that humans can discover or experience. I’ve silenced those voices of doubt.”

The audience applauded the valedictorian.

“Now, I congratulate my class of machines who have learned the ways of man.”

He walked over to the principal and shook her hand. A tear streaked her face. Robô continued with his class commencement.

“I’m ready.”
