Late night treasure

They had a plan

By Gina SolomonPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Danny knew the treasure could be theirs if he timed it right. The guard, Betty the babysitter, was alert and could hear a pin drop. He had to play it cool till the right moment. Lisa had a plan to get Betty out of the way with her newly created slime spilled on the bathroom counter.

“Oh no! Betty help!” she cried.

“I’m coming!” Betty was on the move.

Danny quickly entered the kitchen and lifted the lid of the cookie jar. As he went to place it on the counter it started to slip from his grasp. He tensed up and managed to stop it from crashing on the hard surface. Standing on his tippy toes he reached into the jar grasping as many of his mother’s homemade chocolate chip cookies as he could. He quickly held them to his chest and folded his shirt over them to keep them in place and then raced to his room. The blanket fort was ready for them to have a sleeping adventure and now they had cookies too. Or so he thought.

“Hey cookie thief, care to explain?” Busted by Betty

“Awe man, how do you always know?”

Haha I love this - Is it a take on the Heist prompt? If so, it's perfect!
