Karma

A witches spell

By Chloe Rose Violet 🌹Published 2 years ago • Updated 2 years ago • 3 min read

See the cruelty and pain that you have caused once again, I turn the tables three times three. Bring light to your actions. I will be free when light fades and dusk comes through. The pain you caused will come back to you. I say this spell to Karma tonight. I am a witch, I stand and fight.

It was the year 1692 and we had gathered all together to cast a spell. The leaves were turning into beautiful colours of orange and yellow. Autumn was our favourite time of year to conduct some magic.

Tonight was the night. The night that our coven turned your bones to ashes within your skin. You bleed all over people that never cut you and now karma is a coming. A witch never harms their child. Just remember that statement. The unbearable pain you have caused them will be inflicted on you ten fold.

Our coven never held a gathering such as this before. But before we punish the victim, there's some things you must know.

The witch we had casted out broke our moral code. She harmed her children in the name of love. She used her cruelty and spoke about false prophets. An adulterous female who was a cunning snake. Nobody deserved a punishment like this but someone who truly deserved it. And she did, just trust me on that one.

We hold ourselves to a code of sorts. Do no harm but take no shit. She put her children in harms way and she deserved to be punished for her actions.

We all held unique gifts. Most of us could summon spirits and speak to them. Others were gifted in tarot card reading. Plant magic was a gift in itself.

Twelve witches stood before a fire, chanting in unison. Gowned in thick cloaks we danced in front of the flames conducting our revenge. The poor banished witch was no longer welcome in our circle.

"See the cruelty and pain that you have caused once again, I turn the tables three times three. Bring light to your actions. I will be free when light fades and dusk comes through. The pain you caused will come back to you. I say this spell to Karma tonight. I am a witch, I stand and fight."

We could hear the hooves of horses in the background but we continued our chanting.

The soldiers were coming to mock our faith.

They hung twelve witches that day while the thirteen lived to see another day.

The thing was, she had to live with the karma she had created. She could no longer practice her magic for fear of being discovered. This generational curse will affect her tainted bloodline for centuries to come until the chosen one is born.

That's where you come in.

You are the granddaughter of the witch they didn't hang that day.

Her blood runs through your veins.

You have a choice here to create good karma for your bloodline, or let the past define you and let your actions harm others. The choice is up to you really.

What happened that day, when the witches were hung was truly an act of fate.

Nobody deserves to die for their faith.

Oh my! This was so heartbreaking! 12 innocent witches were hanged but the one witch that wasn't innocent got away! The irony. Loved your story!

The ending of the story was very intriguing. I am left wondering what choice the protagonist will make, and how it will affect her and her bloodline.
