The revenge of the Kalanag
Chapter 1: The calm life of Chardharani
On the southern end of Bengal, a small village located on the banks of the Padma branch - Chardhani. The smell of the crust that floats in the breeze of the river, the color of the evening becomes darker. There are paddy fields, bamboo shrubs and rows of clay houses. Human life is closely associated with the soil and nature here.
There was a mysterious jungle surrounded by Chardharani, inside which was a hundred -year -old Shiva Temple. There were many stories around this temple, the most talked about it was the story of Kalanag.
Kalanag - a huge bearded gok, whose poison or seven villages would have been heard once. But to the villagers, he was a god. They believed that Kalanag was Nagaraj, and he came every evening and bowed his head to Shibling and disappeared again. On the last Monday of every hearing, the villagers used to give milk, fruits, flowers there. This is how life was going on, generation after generation.
Chapter 2: urban mind, rural soil
Rakib was a boy born in that village, but grew up in the city. After completing his studies, he failed to search for a job and came to stay in the village for some time. At first, the quiet nature, the lifeless life like him, the village's "superstition" began to bother him gradually.
He used to laugh at Kalanag, and he used to say, "How is a snake god? It is only an animal, but there is nothing so intriguing in it."
His friends, such as Raju, Anis or Chandan, tried to convince him, "It is not superstition, Ray Rakib, this is a belief. Life does not go away if you do not believe."But Rakib's mind is sore. He decided in his heart that he would break the misconception of this "snake-god".
Chapter 3: Conflict with the snake
One evening, he took his three friends and set foot towards the jungle. He had a bamboo stick in his hand, and kerosene filled in his pocket. Friends said, "What you are doing is not good, it can be a danger."
Rakib said, "Fear is not passed. Today I will show everyone - there is nothing called Kalanag. And even though, I will finish him today."
In the fog of the evening, they reached the front of the temple. The smell of incense has spread in the air. And then it was seen that the huge black snake is standing on the ladder of the temple. Fire in the eyes, raising his head and bowing in front of Shivling.
Rakib shouted, "This is your kalnag!" The snake fell to the ground to shout. Looking at his eyes, friends shook. In that eye was the curse, the oath of revenge.
Chapter 4: The shadow of revenge
From that day onwards all the strange things started. At first Rakib's cow died in a strange way. Then he could not sleep at night - the shadow of the snake, the sound of the sound underneath the bed. His mother saw someone sitting in the corner of the room, his eyes were burning in red light.
Rakib was getting weaker day by day. He would not talk to anyone else properly, spoke alone, wept, and sometimes shouted suddenly.
One night, she suddenly went missing. His shoes were found at the Pukurghat of Shiva Temple. Someone said, "Someone has dragged him or something." Someone said he had jumped into the river himself. His body was never found.
Chapter 5: come back
After the incident of Rakib, the whole village was stunned. Everyone realized, something went wrong. They returned to that old temple again. Put milk for the kalanag, the fruit was kept. Surprisingly the next day the milk was found empty.
And one day a teenager said that he saw a new snake next to the temple - a lot like Kalanag, just burning some parts of the body.
People said, "He is back. Kalanag is guarding us again. Now no one will bother him anymore."
Chapter 6: The secret letter
A few weeks later, the village primary school teacher Hemantababu walked next to the Pukurghat and received a wet letter. He stopped reading curiously. The letter says - "Forgive me, I am remorseful for what I did. I did not understand that people could not explain. If I do not return, I will know - I have punished myself with Kalanag. - Rakib."
The letter was read in the village council. Water comes in the eyes of many. Rakib did not return, but for the peace of his soul, everyone in the village combined special worship.
Chapter 7: The last learning
The days go by, the months go by. Chardharani became busy again during the paddy season, fishing river. But a new change has come - now the young children in the village know what to be with faith and nature. Stories are taught in school kalanag, so that they understand - the nature is never a god, never an enemy, but a powerful companion.
The jungle remains, the Shiva temple remains, and the Kalanagh remains - that is not just a snake, but a living message, who says, "Do not insult nature, otherwise he will answer in his own language."
End
Peace has returned again in Chardharana.People have understood - not everything can be explained with science. Some faith becomes a protection of nature. The sapphire rotates in the jungle again, comes to the temple in the evening. But no one bothers him anymore. He is not a god now, not revenge - he is now a unique message of memory, education, and nature.
