“Just breathe, it’ll be alright” Frank whispered to Delilah. But it wasn’t all right, they both knew it deep down. She was going to die, it was inevitable. And it was all her fault.

If she had just listened to Frank, she would still be happy and healthy, but she had made the stupid mistake of breaking up with him instead of listening to his warnings. And guess what, he had been right.

It was another late night of trying to stay safe, you see Delilah had been victim to SO much abuse and trauma from her ex-boyfriend, Dillon, to the point she was being stalked and receiving death threats from him. Delilah had decided to head to the local Waffle House with her personal bodyguard for a quick late night snack, where she met Frank. They instantly were intrigued by the other, Delilah by Frank's unique appearance, the pale splotches all around his body drawing her in. While Frank was curious by the fact she had a body guard standing by the door, and her strong, dark eyes.

They talked to each other that night and exchanged phone numbers and had been dating since. The thing is, Delilah hadn’t told Frank about the whole Dillon incident until recently, when it had taken a whole other turn, and they had to get the police involved.

You see, Delilah was walking home with her large German shepherd when she went to open the front door, and she found a bloody knife on the inside of her door that said “your next”. At first she thought it was some cruel prank from an ex friend or someone but as she picked up the knife she could smell the metallic scent of real blood coating it. Delilah had immediately panicked and called the police, and they came over to investigate and make sure she was safe, but they just got mad at her for “not paying attention”.

They gave up on the investigation no matter how much Delilah, and Frank, bugged them about it. The police refused to help, and after a month of this fearful torture, they decided to conduct their own investigation. Frank had agreed to help as long as if it got to dangerous Delilah quiet, and she agreed even though she knew that she wasn’t gonna give up, if she died at least she would be free of this torture. And that’s exactly what happened, it got to far, and she refused to just give it up, and had a huge argument with Frank about her quitting. She won whenever she broke up with Frank and he angrily stomped out, yelling “I hope it kills you!”

Delilah still couldn’t believe Dillon took it this far, it wasn’t fair, and it left her feeling disgusting and wanting to cleanse her body. She hasn’t deserved it, no one does.

Why just why, would he do this to her, I get he hates her but still, it was NOT ok. Honestly a slight part of Delilah WANTED to be dead, at least she could rid this disgusting part of her.

She had just gotten home from work, and her bodyguard was sick, so Delilah was going to be home alone, she felt a little off, but she usually did when she had to be home alone. She found a drink with a note beside it from Frank saying, “sorry I couldn’t come home to keep you company, but here’s a drink to calm you :)” It warmed her heart and as she changed into a comfy robe and climbed into her bed with her drink, she felt true comfort and happiness, forgetting all about her unfortunate situation for a little bit, drowning in the drink and tv show she was watching.

Then all of a sudden everything seemed to start going slower for Delilah, and her vision started to dissipate as she passed out into a peaceful sleep, which was not going to end so happily. As soon as Dillon saw she passed out, he creeped out from the closet where he was watching her and proceeded to violate her in the worst possible ways, and then stabbed her many times, thoughts of freedom accompanying the thought of her death. To him, she was still haunting him, even though he was the one holding on, and stalking her. He blamed it all on her, not the fact that he couldn’t let go.

But because of his obsessive little habit, and yes it had happened with other girls, but he usually backed off once they got a restraining order, but not this time. This time, he had fallen in too deep.

Delilah was now lying in her hospital bed, waiting for death to take her, so excited to purge all of the nastiness from her body, when Frank walked in to talk to her. She could tell he had been crying because his eyes were red and puffy, and there were leftover tears pooling in the corners of his eyes. She felt bad for him, and her urge to die and leave this place, but she knew he would understand.

Delilah had never told Frank the whole truth about what happened, the only thing he knew was that she had been stabbed multiple times while sleeping (not exactly) by Dillon. Delilah figured that he deserved the full, honest truth, so when he decided to go sit down at the foot of her bed, she opened up. She told him everything, and as she went on and on she could see the pain in his eyes building. It wasn’t easy for her to talk about but saying it to someone she trusted and loved was very comforting, and made her feel bad for wanting to die.

She wished she could’ve tried harder to live, for Frank if not herself. She knew he needed her, and that it would break him into a million pieces when she died. It wasn’t fair she had to leave him, but Delilah knew that life wasn’t always fair, and that things usually happened for a reason. Maybe Frank would end up being a better person than he was now, once he had recovered and learnt to deal with the pain.
