Journey to the west
The Lost Crown: Secrets of the Hidden Kingdom
Long ago, in a time forgotten, when magic still roamed the world freely, there existed a mountain known as Fruit Flower. At its peak, there stood an ancient rock that had been there for countless ages, minding its own business. However, one fateful day, a mysterious force struck the rock, shattering it into pieces. And lo and behold, from the remnants of that rock emerged a monkey. Yes, you heard that right, a monkey.
The radiant light from this peculiar event reached all the way to the Cloud Palace, where the Jade Emperor sat in bewilderment. "Where does this bright light come from on such a dark night? Noble, go and find out!" commanded the Jade Emperor.
With obedience, the noble descended and discovered the source of the light - a monkey seated on the shattered rock. The noble reported back to the Jade Emperor, "It was a monkey, Your Majesty, born from that very rock. Quite an extraordinary sight, isn't it?"
"Indeed, it is," replied the Jade Emperor, amused by the strange occurrence on Earth. The monkey, oblivious to the commotion it had caused, was soon joined by a group of curious monkeys. Together, they ventured behind a waterfall and discovered a hidden cave filled with beds, tables, and an abundance of food that could sustain them for years.
Overwhelmed with excitement, the monkeys proclaimed the newly emerged monkey their king. "Bow down, for I am the king!" the monkey declared with delight, adorned with a beautiful throne, a crown, and a robe.
As the years passed, the monkey, now known as Monkey King, began to feel a sense of restlessness in his royal role. "Minion, there's nothing more for me to do here as a king," he confided to one of his followers. "I am done monkeying around, and I yearn for new adventures."
With the decision to leave his throne behind, Monkey King set out on a journey, bidding farewell to his loyal followers and promising to return one day. He traveled far and wide, crossing rivers and climbing hills until he stumbled upon a monastery, home to a wise sage named Subari.
Without even knocking, Monkey King was greeted by a student at the monastery. "The sage told me about you," said the student in astonishment. "But you're a monkey!"
Unfazed, Monkey King retorted, "Have you ever spoken to a monkey who could communicate like me?" The student was left speechless, unsure of how to respond to the intelligent primate.
Subari, the sage, saw potential in Monkey King and accepted him as a student. Naming him Sun Wukong, the sage taught him secret formulas and martial arts. Under Subari's guidance, Sun Wukong honed his skills, mastering the arts of transformation and levitation.
Excited by his newfound abilities, Sun Wukong demonstrated his shape-shifting prowess to the other students. However, when Subari witnessed this display, he became enraged, fearing that Sun Wukong's arrogance might lead to misuse of his powers.
"I taught you these formulas not to show off but to better yourself," Subari warned. "You must be cautious and not let others know of your true potential, for they might seek to exploit it."
Undeterred, Sun Wukong set off on his own, embarking on adventures and even rescuing his fellow monkeys from the clutches of demons. With time, he became more powerful, seeking a weapon that could match his strength.
Venturing to the underwater realm of the Dragon King, Sun Wukong requested a mighty weapon. After testing several swords, none of which satisfied him, Sun Wukong finally laid his hands on an enormous iron bar, which he easily wielded.
However, his antics caught the attention of the sky palace, and a noble was sent to apprehend him. After a thrilling chase, Sun Wukong managed to escape, transforming into an ant and disappearing from the noble's sight.
Back in the Fruit Flower Mountain, Sun Wukong continued to dwell, harboring dreams of ruling the world. Little did he know that his journey had just begun, and greater challenges and adventures awaited him in the future.
