Journey to Andromeda
Have you ever experienced déjà vu? This may be your calling. Will you answer?...

Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say.
It was just another day in the small town of Oakbridge, quiet, uneventful Oakbridge. Elle often referred to it as Groundhog Day. She would spend her days working her 9-5, clocking in and out of each shift, marking day after day off the calendar as if she were working towards some grand adventure at the end of the month or year. But it was just another year in small town Oakbridge. No adventures awaited her. Not this year, not the last five…
Her friends had all moved away or had gotten married and are now in their own Groundhog Day lives chasing after little lookalikes, so her social life had become somewhat questionable. She spent more time talking to her cat Trix these days who seemed to understand her better than anyone.
It was Friday, just another Friday when her boss walked up to her with a pile of paperwork that had obviously been building for some time, slammed them on her desk demanding that they be entered into the system and filed before the end of the day. Elle looked to the black and white clock on the wall that had kept her time for many years which now read 3:47pm. She didn’t have a family to be home to make dinner for, nor did she have plans to meet up with friends or a date, or need to pack for a weekend away. But she was meant to knock off at 5:00pm like every other person. Yet this paperwork would see her working past dark yet again for another unnecessary deadline. And it was in that moment, that she stood up and said “No.” It was a boundary, the simplest, yet most effective boundary. And it had meant to have been established a long time ago. She had put herself last, her priorities, her happiness, her freedoms for far too long. And without her knowing, this was the catalyst that began her journey to Andromeda…
She grabbed her things after setting her out of office with no return date and left without another word, pulled in to the local liquor store on the way home and bought a few reds to start the journey of her new life with. This was a breakthrough; she could feel it. Something in her had shifted, and she wasn’t sure if she should be excited or terrified of what was to come.
She hadn’t even made it through the door when Trix came bounding up telling her all about her day, which for an inside cat is not that exciting, but she still had plenty to meow about. Elle looked around the place that she had called home for the last eight years, caught her reflection in the mirror and saw a stranger. This was not living. What was she doing with her life? Who had she become? What is her purpose?...
All these thoughts and feelings started to flood in and she didn’t know which way was up or down. She slid down the wall in a heap and just sat in a trance until the light came flooding through the window filling the room with rose gold light as the sun began to set over the small town.
She soon realised that the walls of her home had fallen away and the homes along Cedar Street with it. She found herself in a garden of the most exquisite nature. There were plants and flowers of every kind, but they were much larger in scale and were almost luminous in appearance.
It was then she saw this radiant being step out from behind a beautiful emerald fern. As she approached, Elle noticed she was almost floating, her movement was so fluid and graceful. She didn’t feel scared by her presence, only transfixed. This woman was almost 8 feet tall with the most beautiful features. Her eyes were like sapphires and her hair a moonlight silver. It was almost overwhelming being in her presence. “We have waited a long time for you to return” she said. “Do you remember?” The woman had not opened her mouth but was somehow communicating to Elle with ease. She must be dreaming! Maybe she had finally lost the plot.
Looking around to find a focal point, a spec of reason or something to bring her back to reality. But instead, she saw more of these tall etheric beings come out and approach her. She didn’t feel afraid, in fact, this felt almost familiar like having déjà vu. They all seemed so pleased to see her, like they were expecting her. But how did she get here?...
“Walk with me Elle.” The beautiful woman extended her arm towards a path leading through the garden. “You must have many questions, but most of them you already know the answer to. You are here because we have heard your call. You reach out to us in your sleep through the astral plane. We have heard your screams for help, to come home. But you are exactly where you need to be, you need only remember who you are.”
“You have felt the calling your whole life, but have been too afraid to listen. You have always known your destiny was for greater things. You feel it most when you are in nature, yet, you have kept yourself busy and bogged down with earthly demands and mundane tasks. You have forgotten your true gifts.” “You are a Starseed of Andromeda and this is your true home, but your job is to bring the message of love and compassion to humanity as it is so needed there to raise the level of consciousness on the planet, so that we can once again join galaxies with the Milky Way.”
This activated something in Elle, she has heard these words before. But only this time, she knew what she had to do.
As she turned to thank the woman, she was gone! The lush garden had faded into darkness and she found herself back in her living room floor in total darkness with Trix curled up in her lap purring heavily. She realised she must have dozed off but felt more alive than ever! She jumped up, turned the lights on, spun round to face Trix and said, “Are you ready for an adventure?!”.
