Cove had it all planned out. You see, his love for her was deeper than any ocean he had ever seen. He knew her better than she knew herself.

Cove and Asherah's relationship, like the ocean, brought upon a calmness to Cove like you couldn't imagine. But, just like the ocean, it had became rocky and tumultuous; at times, extreme.

Cove had planned a beautiful trip for he and Asherah. She had no clue that he was saving money to do something special for them both.

Cove had just secured airline and cruise ship tickets to go Half Moon Cay and Nassau. He had planned to propose to Asherah in the middle of the ocean. He knew Asherah loved the water, so he couldn't wait to surprise her.

Asherah had no idea.

Heartbreakingly,

Cove had no idea either.

Cove's plan was simple. They were to fly to Miami and go on a four day cruise.

His plan was to take her out in the ocean, alone. He had never rode a jetski, so Cove figured that he and his love would enjoy a sense of both romance and adventure.

Cove had studied Asherah for years; charming her with his charismatic nature. They started off as good friends. Finally, Cove got up the nerve to ask her on a date.

From there, the rest was history. Each knew, the other knew, it wouldn't get any better than this.

Cove had planned to marry his best friend; his true love. Come to think of it, Asherah was the love of his life.

Cove had his fair share of the ladies, but none compared to Asherah.

She was smart, funny, and incredibly sexy.

She didn't worry about the little things.

They both worked hard, and Cove just figured they both deserved a break.

That is, until Cove stumbled upon a text message, he wished he had never saw, in Asherah's cellphone.

"Do you think he knows?" Asherah asked.

"No, he has no clue and we have to keep it that way." Cove's brother Juda said.

Cove grew enraged. Why was his older brother texting his future wife?

Cove and Juda were currently estranged. From the time Cove was born they had never quite gotten along the way their parents had wanted; after this, they never would.

Over the next few days Asherah noticed a change in Cove. She didn't understand why he seemed sad. She had big plans for him.

Cove had been quiet on the flight and when they boarded the cruise.

He couldn't stand the look of her. He clutched the ring box tightly in his hand. The ring, laid stagnant in his pocket.

Cove was sure about Asherah until now.

During the cruise, he noticed Asherah would text from time to time. Cove figured he had it all figured out. Asherah was messing around with his "blood" brother.

The ship they were on had docked for a few hours. Cove had it set up so he and Asherah could go jet skiing. It was there he had still planned to propose, but he planned to confront his brother and her the moment he got back home.

With wetsuits in tow, Cove and Asherah took a quick course on riding a jet ski for the first time.

"Cove, I cannot believe we are doing this! Isn't this great?" Asherah said as she grabbed his arm.

Cove removed her hand and stared out into ocean. He knew he loved Asherah with all his heart and that if she were in fact having an "entanglement" with her brother, it would be over for the both of them.

Both Cove and Asherah put on their gear at the beach, and pushed the jetski into the water. "My love, I want you to ride on the back with me." Cove whispered.

"Cove, what is wrong with you?" Asherah said as she got on the back of the Jetski, while adjusting a fanny pack around her waist.

Cove turned on the ignition and gradually pushed the throttle to start it up. He began at a slow pace; going about 5-10 miles per hour. At first Cove stayed close to the shore, practicing turns.

Then, out of nowhere, Cove increased the speed and headed straight to the middle of the ocean and cut the ignition.

Cove then grabbed the ring box out of the pocket of his wetsuit. He turned slightly so Asherah could see his face.

"Asherah, from the moment I met you, I knew you were the one."

"Cove I love you so muuc...."

Cove then rudely interrupted Asherah.

"I need you to listen. Like I said, I knew you were the one. I brought you out here because for the last 6 months, it had been my dream to propose to you; make you my wife."

"Cove the answer is yes. I will marry you."

"Shut up Asherah."

"What is wrong with you! Why are you acting like this?" Asherah said as she touched his shoulder.

"I'm only going to ask you this one time." Cove said as he brushed her hand off her shoulder.

"Ask me what?" Asherah pondered.

Cove took a deep breath.

"Are you happy with me? Like, truly happy with me?" Cove questioned.

"Of course, I would not be here if I wasn't." Asherah beamed.

"Then why are you sleeping with my brother? My only brother. Why Asherah?" Cove cried.

"Cove, it is not what you think."

"Oh, I think it is Asherah. I saw the text messages."

"Listen Cove, your brother and I are not sleeping together. Juda absolutely adores you!" Asherah shouted with a grin.

"I very much hoped you would tell the truth. But I see you'd rather lie." Cove said; shooting a look of hurt and disgust her way.

"I'm not lying my love. You see, I, we are..."

"Get off." Cove murmured softly.

"Get off what? The jet ski?" Asherah said with fear.

Cove opened the ring box and showed Asherah the ring.

"I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. I thought you loved me." Cove whispered again while holding back tears.

"Oh sweetheart, me and Juda aren't fooling around." Asherah said again as she touched the small of Cove's back.

"Get off." Cove said again as he closed the ring box. He then slowly put the ring back into his wetsuit.

"Cove, are you nuts!? We are in the middle of nowhere in the ocean. I am not getting off! It could be sharks in there! Come on! I think we should head back to shore." Asherah said as she watched clouds approach in the sky.

"GET OFF!!!!!!!" Cove yelled again.

Asherah was confused and felt she could fix this situation. She didn't want to ruin the surprise.

"My darling I am not getting off this jet ski. You must be crazy!" Asherah screamed. Cove spun around again.

"GET OFF!!!!" Cove roared as he pushed her into the blue water.

"You know I cannot swim that well. Cove!" Asherah yelled. Doggy paddling the water.

"You've got a life jacket. You'll be fine. I won't be returning home with you. You and my brother can have a nice life." Cove said as he started the ignition.

"Cove, come on now, stop playing! This isn't funny!" Asherah yelled.

Cove then centered his weight and gradually began to pull away from Asherah.

"Cove, you cannot leave me out here. This is not right!" Asherah screamed while spitting salt water out of her mouth.

" Well, you should have thought about that before you slept with my brother. " Cove shot her a dirty look and pulled off on the jet ski.

At first, Asherah thought this was a joke. But, as she watched Cove get further and further away, she knew this was not a drill. She knew it was not a test.

This was real thing.

Asherah unzipped the fanny pack she had on and grabbed a cellphone, while still trying to keep her head above water.

She dialed up Juda.

"Hey sis! How was the cruise?" said Juda

"I need you to send help. Your brother has gone mad."

Cove reached the shore, and the jet ski instructor looked puzzled.

"Senor, where is you wife?" he asked with concern.

"She's dead to me!" Cove said.

The frightened instructor grabbed a small boat with a motor and pushed it in the ocean. Time was of the essence.

Cove silently began to walk back towards the cruise ship, when he received a call form Juda.

"Bro! what is going on? " Juda yelled.

"You just have to have everything I have right!?" Cove said.

"Man, what are you talking about!" Juda screamed.

"I KNOW!" Cove exclaimed deeply.

"So, Asherah told you about the surprise birthday party we were planning for you after the trip?" Juda said.

Cove's heart stopped.

"What did you say?" Cove said as he faced the ocean.

"Man, Asherah wanted to throw you a huge birthday party and she needed help." Juda said.

Cove dropped the phone and began running towards the ocean.

"ASHERAH!!!!!!!!!"
