odd fiction

A Christmas Room (pexels.com)

It was the evening before Christmas

and everything was astir

no stockings were hung for no one seemed to care

even the mouse in the hole seemed a little down.

The tree was up and only have decorated for the people

seemed not to be really interested in doing this thing.

When all of a sudden, they heard out their front door

there was such a clatter for the police were their sirens

blaring and all were running and screaming for one reason

or another. They all shouted but nobody was listening.

Then all of a sudden it got very quiet for a light snow was

falling for it was muffling all the noise. The police, victims and

bystanders stood in awe for when they looked around, they all did

see a jolly old elf dressed in a red sequined suit for they thought

could it be Santa Claus but why dressed that way. It seemed so

out of place for its Christmas Eve. What would the children and even

adults think of such a sight as what stood before them. He turned about

and with a touch to his nose, he went from car to car to see how he

could help one and all. When his work was done, he just disappeared.

Not a word was said for they knew who he was, but they did hear as they

we're finishing up "Merry Christmas to all and to a Good night!!

An old sequined elf is quite a vision. Merry Christmas to you, Mark❣🎄

I'd surely marvel on a sequined old elf. I felt sorry for the sad little mouse, maybe someone could give him some crackers? (I doubt they actually eat cheese?) Merry Christmas to you, too and Good night (in advance)❤️
