Is Love Enough to Change His Mind?

Shanaya adjusted her glasses and took a deep breath before walking into Aryan Malhotra's empire, Malhotra Enterprises. On her first day as a financial analyst, she had already heard whispers about her CEO.

"A ruthless businessman."

"A heartbreaker."

"A man who never gets attached."

None of this mattered to her. She was here to work, not to be another woman smitten with Aryan Malhotra. But as soon as she stepped into the conference room, her irritation started.

He was present. Sitting at the head of the table, wearing an expensive suit that exuded power. His dark, brooding eyes lacked warmth, and his smirk made her blood boil.

"Miss Sharma," Aryan's deep voice rang throughout the room. "I don't entertain latecomers."

She glanced at her watch. 8:59 AM.

She raised her eyebrow. "It's still one minute to nine."

A few gasps filled the room. Nobody ever spoke back to Aryan Malhotra. Shanaya refused to cower.

Aryan leaned back in his seat, intrigued. "Interesting. I like people who value their time. Let's hope you value work as much as I do.

The meeting continued, but Shanaya felt Aryan's gaze on her several times. She ignored it.

After the meeting, she returned to her desk, attempting to shake off the unsettling presence of her new boss. But fate had different plans.

"Miss Sharma," Aryan's voice halted her at the door.

She turned and forced a polite smile. "Yes, sir?"

He moved closer, his presence suffocating. "Most people want to impress me. You appear to hate me already. Why?"

She did not hesitate. "Because you think you own the world, and I don't like men who think they're untouchable."

For the first time, Aryan was taken off guard. He stared at her for a long time before a slow, wicked smile appeared on his face.

"Let's see how long that hatred lasts, Miss Sharma."

And then he walked away, leaving Shanaya with a strange feeling in her chest that she wasn't ready to name.
