After leaving work late, I was exhausted and was ready to go home. But since I still had little energy left, I went to a local cafe not too far from where my condo was. It was a beautiful night with the right breeze of wind. When I arrived at the cafe, it had very few people but enough to still have life in it. Coffee with sugar and cream, please I said while still looking at the menu. Minutes later, I decided to take a seat in the back. For some reason, I felt a sense of comfort. Maybe it was the late-night vibes I guess. But whatever it was, I was feeling good all of sudden.

Is this seat taken? A man with a mysterious image said. I was actually planning to sit by myself for tonight, I said while still trying to figure him out. I'm sorry to invade but you looked like you needed company maybe. For a minute, I wanted to send him away but I felt drawn to him. Almost like metal being attached to a magnet. I guess company wouldn't hurt I said still feeling that comforting sensation. As he was taking the other part of the booth, I was studying his aurora. From the way, he moved to the way he dressed and the way he carried himself.

My name is Prince Cain, and yours? Maia, Maia Davis I said with a peek of interest suddenly. Prince was a very handsome man I must admit. He had a very good mocha color tone with a fresh shave and dark hair to match his hazel eyes. He had that bad boy look to him. I don't know how many hours we spent talking to each other but it was good to have a nice casual conversation with someone like him. After that night, we exchange numbers. And the rest was history. Our time together was something I never experienced before. I have never been in a relationship at all.

Even though this was my first relationship, it was going great. We loved each other to infinity and beyond. We became soulmates. This was a love I never wanted to let go of. One evening, Prince and I decided to go back to the cafe where we first met at. I was the first to arrive. As always I ordered my usual. Usually, I went to the back to sit. But on this night, it felt different. I didn't know what it was but something was definitely bothering me. Where the hell is Prince? I said with an anxious expression on my face. I was going to call him but I couldn't find his number anywhere in my contacts.

That's weird, Prince's number was always one of my main contacts I thought to myself as I was becoming very irritated. Before I knew it, I left feeling crazy because I didn't know how to contact him even though we exchange numbers the night we met. When I arrived back at my condo, I was losing it. Everything that belonged to Prince, had my name on it. The pictures I said out loud while searching for the images we took at the park but it only had me in the pictures. Something scary was going on and I was going to find out what that was.

I called my sister Vicky to try and see have she heard or seen Prince anywhere. Vick have you seen Prince tonight, I'm getting worried. Maia, what are you talking about? I'm talking about my boyfriend Prince, the one I introduced mom and dad to. Um, Maia, there is no Prince. What do you mean Vick? I said with a disgusted tone. His name is Prince Cain, my boyfriend that I told you about. The one with the bad boy look. Sis, there is no Prince Cain. And you don't have a boyfriend either.

Vick what are you saying, I'm saying that there is no person in your life named Prince Cain. And that time you went to see mom and dad, you didn't bring anyone with you. Everything that she was saying wasn't making sense. All I could do was hang up on her. Tears were falling fast down my face. I was happy yesterday and the day before with my soulmate. But now, he just vanished off the face of the earth. I checked everything, including the missing person's records. And there was nothing.

No one knew him, no family, no friends, and no existence. I was hurting so bad to the point where I just couldn't do any more research. I kindly went to my bedroom where there was a t-shirt only a man would fit. I read the shirt and it said infinity and beyond. Then I looked to my left where my nightstand was and found a letter from Prince. But the weirdest thing, it wasn't Prince's handwriting, it was mine.
