Invisible Invitation

The Story

By Murtaza SyedPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

Once upon a time, in a small village nestled between rolling hills, lived two best friends, Mir and Peer. They were inseparable and did everything together, from going on adventures in the woods to helping each other with their daily chores.

One sunny day, as they were sitting by the village square, a stranger approached them. He was dressed in a long cloak that seemed to blend into the surroundings, making him almost invisible.

"Excuse me, gentlemen," he said, his voice soft and mysterious. "I couldn't help but overhear your conversation. I have an invitation for you."

Mir and Peer exchanged curious glances. They had never seen this stranger before, and they were intrigued by his invitation.

"What kind of invitation?" Peer asked, his eyes widening with excitement.

The stranger smiled enigmatically. "It's an invisible invitation," he said, holding out a small piece of parchment that was barely visible in the sunlight.

Mir and Peer looked at each other, wondering what kind of invitation could be invisible.

"Where do we have to go?" Mir asked, intrigued.

The stranger pointed to a distant hill, barely visible in the horizon. "Follow that path until you reach the top of the hill," he said. "And you will find what you seek."

Mir and Peer didn't need any further encouragement. They set off towards the hill, their hearts pounding with excitement. They walked for hours, and as the sun began to set, they finally reached the top of the hill.

To their surprise, they found a small cottage nestled between the trees. The door was open, and a warm glow spilled out, inviting them in.

As they entered, they were greeted by the owner, an old man with kind eyes and a warm smile. "Welcome, my children," he said. "I have been expecting you."

Mir and Peer were amazed. How did the old man know they were coming?

"Finish your talk and consider this as a permanent invitation from me to come and visit. If you're tired, then you can have some food," the old man said, gesturing towards a pot of stew bubbling on the stove.

Mir and Peer sat down to eat, their minds buzzing with questions. Who was this old man? How did he know about the invisible invitation?

As they ate, the old man began to speak. "I have lived in this cottage for many years," he said. "And I have seen many things. But I have never seen two friends as loyal and true as you."

Mir and Peer looked at each other, touched by the old man's words.

"I have a gift for you," the old man said, reaching into a drawer and pulling out two small pouches. "These pouches will protect you on your journey. Use them wisely."

Mir and Peer thanked the old man and set off on their journey, their hearts full of gratitude and wonder. And as they walked, they knew that they had been blessed with a friendship that was truly magical, and that would stay with them for a lifetime.

As they walked, they soon realized that their journey was not going to be easy. They encountered rough terrain, treacherous paths, and dangerous creatures. But with the help of the pouches that the old man had given them, they were able to navigate through these obstacles and continue on their journey.

Finally, after many days of walking, they arrived at a castle. It was unlike anything they had ever seen before, with its towering walls and grand entrance. As they approached the gate, they were met by a guard.

"What is your business here?" the guard asked.

"We have come to attend the king's ball," Mir said confidently.

The guard looked at them skeptically. "And how do I know that you are.
