In the beginning

Hello and welcome to my 'in the beginning'. Ah writing! the only way I can truly speak even if I rarely have something to say. let me introduce my self first. My name is Eniolaoluwa Ige but i prefer to be called Enny. I'm a 17 year-old girl from Africa. my mission is to share black/African culture to everyone from any part of the world through literature and writing. I'm on a journey of self discovery, growth and enlightenment about the world around me as i have never been outside the walls of Africa. I am also searching desperately for my kind of people if you know what I mean. Now that i have introduced myself lets get down to business , BOOKS.

Books are the only thing that bring me great joy. I grew up in a house hold were I wasn't allowed to have a proper phone till I was 15 and even though I didn't like it at first I am so grateful that my parents raised me this way. My favorite book is the bible and yes I'm religious. Both my parents my parents are Christians and so they raised me with Christian doctrines. my favorite author is William Shakespeare because of lovely his sonnets and tragedies. I remember when I was a child, I was so in love with Shakespeare I even fantasized about marrying him ( I know I'm delusional but I love my self that way).For years, i have always struggled to write even though its my favorite thing ever because of my perfectionism. The only time I ever really wrote anything was when i was influenced by strong emotions like anger and I'm not even sure that's a good thing. My decision to write again was actually to overcome this habit of mine as I don't want my creativity to be fueled my negative emotions.
