If walls could feel
A little late story about a wall...
Once upon a time, there was a wall in a small, quiet apartment. This wall was no ordinary wall, for it had the ability to see everything that happened in front of it. It had witnessed many things in its time, from mundane conversations to passionate arguments, but it had never spoken a word. After all, how could a wall speak?
One day, a new tenant moved into the apartment. His name was Bob, and he was a peculiar fellow with a quirky sense of humor. As soon as Bob moved in, he noticed the strange wall and decided to have a bit of fun with it.
"Hey there, wall," he said with a chuckle. "You've been watching people for 20 years, haven't you? You must have seen some pretty weird stuff!"
The wall said nothing, as usual, but Bob continued to talk to it as if it were a person. He would tell it about his day, share his thoughts and feelings, and even sing it songs. The wall listened silently, but it began to enjoy Bob's company. After all, it had been alone for 20 years.
One day, Bob decided to take things to the next level. He put on a one-man show in front of the wall, complete with silly hats, crazy dance moves, and a kazoo. The wall had never seen anything like it, and it was thoroughly entertained.
From that day on, Bob made it his mission to make the wall laugh every day. He would come up with new jokes, perform magic tricks, and even dress up in costumes. The wall became his biggest fan, and it looked forward to Bob's visits every day.
One day, Bob brought a friend over to see the wall. His friend, Tom, was a serious and stoic man who didn't understand the appeal of the wall. "It's just a wall," he said dismissively.
But Bob wasn't deterred. He put on a puppet show in front of the wall, making the puppets talk to each other and tell jokes. The wall laughed so hard that it shook the entire apartment. Tom couldn't believe it.
"What's so funny?" he asked, looking at the wall incredulously.
Bob simply shrugged. "You have to have a sense of humor to understand," he said with a grin.
And so, the wall and Bob continued to have their daily chats and silly performances. The wall had never been happier, and neither had Bob. They had found a kindred spirit in each other, and nothing could break their bond.
Years went by, and Bob eventually moved out of the apartment. The wall was sad to see him go, but it knew that it had been lucky to have such a great friend. As it watched the new tenants move in, the wall couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia. But it knew that it would always cherish the memories of its time with Bob, and it would always be grateful for the laughter and joy that he had brought into its life.
One day, the wall saw a familiar face in the hallway. It was Bob, who had come back to visit. The wall was overjoyed to see him, and Bob was thrilled to see that the wall was still there.
"I've missed you, old friend," Bob said with a smile.
The wall didn't say anything, but it didn't need to. It was happy just to have Bob back in its life. And so, they resumed their daily routine of chats and performances, and the wall knew that it would never be alone again.
As for Tom, he eventually moved out of the apartment and into a new place. But he never forgot the strange wall that his friend Bob had introduced him to. He couldn't understand why Bob had been so fond of it, but he couldn't deny that there was something special about that wall.
Years later, when Tom was an old man, he was visiting a friend in the same neighborhood where the apartment with the magical wall was located. As he was walking down the street, he saw a familiar building and decided to take a closer look. Bob has passed some years ago and Tom never came back.
To his surprise, the building was still there, and so was the apartment with the strange wall. Tom couldn't resist the urge to take a peek inside. As he walked up to the door, he saw that it was slightly ajar. He pushed it open and stepped inside.
The apartment was empty, and everything was covered in dust. But as Tom looked around, he saw the wall that had once fascinated Bob. It was still there, still watching and waiting for something to happen.
Tom couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia as he looked at the wall. He remembered the puppet show that Bob had put on so many years ago, and he wondered if the wall still had a sense of humor. He decided to test it.
"Hey, wall," he said with a smile. "Do you remember me? I'm the guy who didn't get your joke."
To Tom's surprise, the wall suddenly started to shake, as if it were laughing. It was a strange and eerie sight, but Tom couldn't help but feel a sense of joy. Maybe the wall did have a sense of humor after all.
As he walked out of the apartment and back into the world, Tom couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. He had never believed in magic, but the strange wall had made him rethink everything he thought he knew about the world. And who knows? Maybe there were other magical walls out there, just waiting to be discovered by someone with a sense of humor and a willingness to believe.
From that day on, Tom made it his mission to look for magic in the world around him. He knew that there was more to life than what he had previously thought, and he was determined to find it. And who knows? Maybe he would one day find another magical wall, and maybe this time he would understand the joke.
