If love could feel, it would linger in your caress, a tingle that lasts long after you touch me. Your tender soul, kindled with the burning night, so pure to my heart as we lay wrapped in red silk sheets.

Sheets so sheer and soft that they brush softly against our skins, glowing with the burning heat of our hot passion. Your gift to us, Gustave, to celebrate the forthcoming new year and our future.

Your room glows with a new warmth that I have not witnessed before. The gentle crackle of embers in the fire place; the large, woolen rug that you recently bought, laid so splendidly out on the living room floor. So soft is the wool beneath my bare skin, wrapped in the luxurious red silk sheets that we bought together.

It is our first New Year's Eve, entangled in your city apartment, overlooking the pulse of pacy night life. The swirling blues and yellows of the night sky are a mere haze. Overriding it, pounds my deep, passionate pulse as I absorb your fire.

Night's symphonic blur, an artful watercolour of lowered red silk, bare skin and soft lips; your glowing amber eyes, Gustave, aflame with ...

"I love you, Ani," your raw words, hovering in the air, sitting between us. My heart, pounding rapidly, setting my mind reeling. Did you just say that, Gustave? After all this time?

"Ani ...?" Your intense gaze, your gentle caress against my bare shoulders. My mind processing your passionate pause.

We have always just 'been.' My feelings for you delve so deeply, I never crested them with waves of words. Yet, your announcement sparks across the atmosphere, leaving me mind blown.

After some time, my slow, reassuring smile. "Gustave ..." A husky voice escapes my mouth, making me giggle. I laugh when I am nervous. I cover my lips with my mouth. "Sorry."

"Why?" Your alluring smile, melting me in its steady rhythm. "If you're laughing, then we're still on in the new year." You stare down shyly, biting your lip.

Sitting up, I embrace the force of the air between us. Its powerful pull draws me into your awaiting arms.

So many questions swim in your gaze, a trait that I find mature and sexy. I can feel your heart pounding wildly with passion.

Stroking your cheek, I pull you even closer to me, setting our heat aflame. The red silk sheets I am wrapped in collapse, exposing my bare soul.

I can feel your deep, burning fire as your lips press firmly against mine. Your hands stroke my bare skin sensually.

"Baby ..." Afloat I am, amidst the blurred lights of night life, absorbed by the alluring heat. A candled cosmos, burning steadily, reverberating with the rhythm of our passion.

Your scent, your presence swarms me with its remnant sparks of fire, even as the rain teems down and our intimacy wades calmer waters.

Our souls cool; gazing into my eyes, your reach for my hand. "What are we going to do now?" Your uncertain voice; eyes full of questions again.

My smile widens sensually and I stroke your torso gently, stirring your soul. "Just be," the words escape my lips and I allow them to form and exist. "As we always have, as deeply as our bond allows."

My profound words sit between us, like smoke lingering in the air. A relieved smile forms across your lips. "Ani," you reach for me once more. "You have a way with words."

Our bond sits snugly within me, even as the night escapes us. It cannot be extinguished, yet sparks deeply within my soul, humming its own symphony.

To be free to adore you, Gustave, is to merge within the watercolours of your soul. Right now, our joint shade is the glistening red silk, merging with the roaring candled cosmos of our bond, rendered for life in my heart.

To be with you, in the new year and eternally, is all I could hope for.
